🌿 CSI Diocese of Erode-Salem
Department of Ecological Concerns
International Biodiversity Day 2026
God created all things in His creation for the good of humanity. With every living creature and every species, God looked upon what He had made and declared it good. The Creator also gave humanity the mandate to cultivate and protect His creation.
Yet today, we witness creation groaning and travailing in pain — as the Scriptures declare: "The whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth." (Romans 8:22)
Climate change, environmental degradation, the extinction of species, the ruthless exploitation of natural resources, and a culture of excessive consumption are rapidly destroying the world God entrusted to our care.
On this International Biodiversity Day, let us rise — as individuals, as communities, and as communities of faith — to protect and restore the web of life around us. Let us champion creation care in our homes and in our churches, and become the salt of the earth and the light of the world.

சர்வதேச பல்லுயிர் பாதுகாப்பு தினம் 2026

கடவுள் தமது படைப்பில் அனைத்தையும் மனிதன் நன்மைக்காகவே படைத்தார். ஒவ்வொரு உயிரினங்கள் மற்றும் சிற்றினங்களின் படைப்பின் நிறைவில் கடவுள் நல்லது என்று கண்டார். படைப்பாளராம் கடவுள் படைப்பை பண்படுத்தவும் பாதுகாக்கவும் செய்யுங்கள் என்று கட்டளையை மனிதனுக்கும் கொடுத்தார்.
ஆனால் இன்று படைப்புகள் அனைத்தும் தவித்து பிரசவ வேதனை படுகிறது என்பதை கண்கூடாக பார்க்கின்றோம் ( ரோமர் 8-22). காலநிலை மாற்றம், சுற்றுச்சூழல் சீர்கேடு, சிற்றுயிர்கள் அழிவு, வளங்களைச் சுரண்டும் மனிதனின் அதீத நடவடிக்கைகள் மற்றும் பெரு நுகர்வு கலாச்சாரம் போன்ற காரணங்களால் இயற்கை அழிந்து கொண்டிருக்கின்றது. தனி மனிதனாகவும், சமூகமாகவும், விசுவாச கூட்டமாகவும் உயிர் சூழல் பாதுகாப்பினை செயல்படுத்த முன்வருவோம். இல்லங்களிலும் திருச்சபைகளிலும் சுற்றுச்சூழல் பாதுகாப்பு முன்னெடுத்து பூமிக்கு ஒப்பாகவும் உலகிற்கு வெளிச்சமாகவும் மாறுவோம்.

கிறிஸ்துவுக்குள் அன்புடையவர்களே,

CSI ஈரோடு சேலம் திருமண்டலத்தை சார்ந்த ஆயர் அருள்திரு ஜே ஜவஹர் வில்சன் ஆசீர் டேவிட் அவர்கள் சேலத்தில் இன்று கர்த்தருக்குள் நித்திரை அடைந்தார் என்பதை அறிவிக்கிறோம். ஆயர் அவர்கள் சேலம் CSI Christ Churchல் ஆயர் தலைவர் பொறுப்பில் பணியாற்றினார்.
அவர், குடும்பத்திற்கும் உறவின் மக்களுக்கும் அழியாத நினைவுகள் மற்றும் அன்பின் அடையாளங்கள் என்றும் நிலைத்திருக்கும்.

இந்த கடினமான நேரத்தில் அவரின் குடும்பத்தினருக்கு தேவன் தாங்கும் ஆற்றலையும் நிம்மதியையும் அருள வேண்டும் என்று நாங்கள் அனைவரும் பிரார்த்திக்கின்றோம். இறுதி காரியங்கள் நாளை (16/5/2026) மாலை 3மணிக்கு ஆலயத்தில் வைத்து நடைபெறும்.

We announce that Reverend J Jawahar Wilson Asir David, Pastor of the CSI Diocese of Erode Salem, passed away today in Salem. Funeral service will take place tomorrow (16/05/2026) 3:00pm at CSI Christ Church, Salem.

May God continue to comfort the bereaved family and friends.

The Department of Ecological Concerns continues to bring environmental awareness and green theological thinking to all sections of the Church — nurturing a congregation that loves and cares for God's creation.

Those who require resources or publications on ecological themes are welcome to get in touch with the department.

🌱 GREEN GARDEN — SPB Colony, CSI Holy Trinity Church

A few days ago, a piece of land near CSI Holy Trinity Church, SPB Colony, was transformed into a beautiful green garden. The initiative was led by the Local Bishop, Rev E Francis Bernardsha, in partnership with the Department of Ecological Concerns. Three wonderful spaces were established:

🌿 Herbal Garden
🌸 Sensory Garden

These spaces will serve as living witnesses to environmental awareness within the congregation, and as a tangible expression of our love and care for God's creation.

We are deeply grateful for the generous participation and contribution of the congregation. 🙏

சுற்றுச்சூழல் கரிசனைத் துறை

சுற்றுச்சூழல் கரிசனைத் துறை, திருச்சபையில் அனைத்து நிலையில் உள்ளோருக்கும் சுற்றுச்சூழல் சார்ந்த விழிப்புணர்வையும், திருமறை சார்ந்த பசுமை சிந்தனைகளையும் தொடர்ந்து முன்வைத்து வருகின்றது.

சுற்றுச்சூழல் சார்ந்த வெளியீடுகள் அல்லது வளங்கள் தேவைப்படுவோர் துறையை நேரடியாகத் தொடர்பு கொள்ளலாம்.

🌱 பசுமை தோட்டம் — SPB காலனி, CSI தூய திரித்துவ ஆலயம்

சில தினங்களுக்கு முன்பு, SPB காலனி தூய திரித்துவ ஆலயத்திற்கு அருகாமையில் உள்ள இடம் பசுமை தோட்டமாக அழகுற மாற்றப்பட்டது. ஆலய ஆயர் அருட்பணி E. பிரான்சிஸ் பெர்னாட்ஷா அவர்கள் தலைமையில், சுற்றுச்சூழல் கரிசனைத் துறையுடன் இணைந்து பின்வரும் மூன்று சிறப்பு தோட்டங்கள் அமைக்கப்பட்டன:

🌸 உணர்வு தோட்டம் (Sensory Garden)

இச்செயல்பாடுகள் திருச்சபையில் சூழல் சார்ந்த விழிப்புணர்வை வளர்க்கவும், கடவுளின் படைப்புகள் மீது அன்பையும் அக்கறையையும் வெளிப்படுத்தவும் உதவியாக அமையும்.

It has been a great joy to participate in the closing celebrations of the Vacation Bible School. Seeing our children grow in the love and knowledge of Christ fills our hearts with gratitude and hope.

🌿 GREEN DAY — VBS DAY 6
CSI Diocese of Erode-Salem
Department of Children’s Ministry & Department of Ecological Concerns

The sixth day of this year’s Vacation Bible School was celebrated as Green Day — a joyful occasion to celebrate God’s creation, conserve nature, and renew our commitment to care for the world He has made.

The day’s agenda centred on three beautiful themes:
🌱 Celebrating God’s Creation
🌺 Conserving Nature
🌍 Caring for Creation

Activities included sharing plants, planting saplings, cleaning the church premises, and distributing love plants to the children — meaningful, hands-on ways to help our youngest members become faithful stewards of God’s earth.

Green Day was actively and enthusiastically observed at:
📍 CSI St Peter’s Rural Church
📍 CSI St Paul’s Church, Krishnampalayam

Our sincere appreciation goes to Rev Godfrey, Presbyter-in-Charge, and Mr Samadanam Prabhu, who meticulously planned and coordinated the event alongside the VBS Directors. Their dedicated efforts made this day truly special.

C.S.I. ஈரோடு–சேலம் திருமண்டலம்
சிறுவர் பணித்துறை & பசுமை பள்ளிக்கறியல் துறை

இந்த ஆண்டு விடுமுறை வேதாகம பள்ளியின் ஆறாம் நாள் “பசுமை நாளாக” சிறப்பாக கொணாடக்கப்பட்டது — கடவுளின் படைப்பை கொணாடும், இயற்கையை பாதுகாக்கும், இறைவனின் படைப்பின் போற்றாளராக வாழும் பரிய ஒரு இந்த நாள் அமைந்தது.

இந்த நாளின் நிகழ்ச்சிகள்:
🌱 கடவுளின் படைப்பை கொணாடுதல்
🌺 இயற்கையை பாதுகாத்தல்
🌍 படைப்பைப் போற்றுதல்

சிறுவர்களுடன் மற்றும் திருச்சபையினருடன் இணைந்து, மரக்கந்துகள் பகிர்தல், மற்றும் மரக்கந்துகள் நடுதல், ஆலய வளாகத்தை சுத்தப்படுத்தல், அன்பு செடிகள் விதரித்தல் — இவ்வாறு பல்வேறு சிறப்பான நிகழ்ச்சிககளுடன் இந்த நாள் உவக்கமாக கொணாடக்கப்பட்டது.

✝️ A BLESSED EVENING AT CSI HOLY TRINITY CHURCH
📍 S.P.B. Colony, Erode | Erode North Deanery
📅 This Evening

Our Bishop-in-Charge Rt Rev Dr Jayasingh Prince Prabakaran was given a warm and joyful welcome this evening as he arrived at CSI Holy Trinity Church, S.P.B. Colony, Erode, to conduct the Confirmation Service and participate in several special programmes.

🪡 TAILORING TRAINING CENTRE INAUGURATED
Our Bishop-in-Charge formally inaugurated a Tailoring Training Centre established within the church premises — a wonderful initiative that will equip women and youth in the community with practical skills and a means of livelihood.

🌿 GREEN GARDEN DEDICATED & SAPLING PLANTED
The Bishop also dedicated the Green Garden within the church campus and planted a sapling — a beautiful symbol of growth, stewardship of God's creation, and the flourishing of this congregation.

✝️ CONFIRMATION SERVICE
37 candidates received Confirmation this evening. The confirmands and committee members gathered for a group photograph to mark this memorable occasion.

நமது திருமண்டலத்தின் பொறுப்பு பேராயர் Rt.Rev.Dr. ஜெயசிங் பிரின்ஸ் பிரபாகரன் ஐயா அவர்கள் ஈரோடு S.P.B. காலனி C.S.I. தூய திரித்துவ ஆலயத்தில் இன்று மாலை திடப்படுத்தல் வழிபாடு நடத்தவும் பல்வேறு நிகழ்ச்சிகளில் கலந்து கொள்ளவும் வருகை தந்தார். அவருக்கு உற்சாகமான வரவேற்பு அளிக்கப்பட்டது.

ஆலய வளாகத்தில் அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ள தையல் பயிற்சி நிலையத்தை பொறுப்பு பேராயர் ஐயா அவர்கள் பிரதிஷ்டை செய்து வைத்தார். இந்த நிலையம் சமூகத்திலுள்ள பெண்களுக்கும் இளையோருக்கும் தொழில் திறன் வளர்க்க உதவும் ஒரு சிறந்த முயற்சியாகும்.

ஆலய வளாகத்தில் அமைந்துள்ள பசுமை தோட்டத்தையும் பொறுப்பு பேராயர் ஐயா அவர்கள் பிரதிஷ்டை செய்து மரக்கன்றை நட்டு வைத்தார் — கடவுளின் படைப்பைப் பேணுவதற்கான அழகான சாட்சி.

இன்று மாலை 37 நபர்கள் திடப்படுத்தல் பெற்றனர். திடப்படுத்தல் எடுத்தவர்களும் கமிட்டி உறுப்பினர்களும் இணைந்து குழு புகைப்படம் எடுத்துக் கொண்டனர்.
