CSI Elavamalai Church Marks 70th Jubilee with Confirmation and Thanksgiving Celebration

The CSI Erode - Salem Diocese, Erode North Area, Elavamalai Village CSI Church, celebrated a significant milestone as part of its 70th Jubilee celebrations, marked by a confirmation service, annual thanksgiving festival and the dedication of a memorial stone.
On the evening of the 3 October 2026, confirmation candidates were examined regarding their understanding of the Christian faith, their spiritual commitment and their readiness to affirm their faith before the congregation.

On the 4th October 2026, the candidates were confirmed by Rt Revd Dr J Victor Raj, Bishop of the CSI Diocese of Erode - Salem. This service holds special significance as it was the first confirmation service conducted by Bishop Rt Revd Dr J Victor Raj since assuming episcopal leadership of the Diocese.

The confirmation service formed an important part of the church’s 70th Jubilee celebrations, giving the congregation an opportunity to rejoice in God’s faithfulness across generations and to encourage the newly confirmed members in their Christian journey.

Following the confirmation, the church celebrated its Annual Thanksgiving Festival, offering praise and gratitude to God for His guidance, protection and blessings throughout the years. During the celebrations, a memorial stone tablet was also erected, commemorating the church’s journey and heritage and serving as a reminder of the faithfulness of previous generations.

Bishop Amma Mrs S Laura Victor Raj also participated in the celebrations. Revd S Stephenraj, Chairman and Erode North Area Chairman, joined the programme along with Rev.Dn.Sudharshan (Bishop Chaplain), Revd Manesh of Nasiyanur Pastorate, Revd Balasundaram (Presbyter Emeritus), and Revd Deena Dayabaran of CSI Church Periyapuliyur. Church workers Mr Kelvin Sundar of Elavamalai Church and Mr Durairaj of St Luke’s Church, Komarapalayam, were also present.

The Jubilee celebration became a joyful occasion of faith, remembrance, thanksgiving and renewed commitment to Christ.

04 அக்டோபர் 2026 காலை, சி.எஸ்.ஐ. ஈரோடு–சேலம் திருமண்டல பேராயர் Rt Revd Dr J விக்டர் ராஜ் திடப்படுத்தல் அவர்களுக்கு வழங்கினார், அவர்களுக்காக சிறப்பு ஜெபம் செய்து ஆசீர்வதித்தார். பேராயர் பொறுப்பேற்ற பின்னர் அவர் தலைமையில் நடைபெற்ற முதல் திடப்படுத்தல் ஆராதனை இதுவாகும் என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

70ஆம் ஆண்டு விழாவின் முக்கிய நிகழ்வாக நடைபெற்ற இவ்வுறுதிப்படுத்துதல் ஆராதனை, திருச்சபையின் பல தலைமுறைகளாகத் தொடர்ந்துவரும் விசுவாசப் பயணத்தை நினைவுகூரும் சிறப்பான தருணமாக அமைந்தது. புதிதாக உறுதிப்படுத்தப்பட்ட உறுப்பினர்கள் கிறிஸ்துவில் தொடர்ந்து வளர்ந்து, திருச்சபையின் பணிகளில் அர்ப்பணிப்புடன் ஈடுபடுவதற்கான அழைப்பும் வழங்கப்பட்டது.

தொடர்ந்து ஆலயத்தின் ஆண்டு நன்றி படைப்பு விழா நடைபெற்றது. இறைவன் கடந்த ஆண்டுகளில் அளித்த பாதுகாப்பு, வழிநடத்துதல் மற்றும் ஆசீர்வாதங்களுக்காக சபையினர் நன்றி செலுத்தினர். விழாவின் போது திருச்சபையின் வரலாற்றையும் பாரம்பரியத்தையும் நினைவுகூரும் வகையில் நினைவுக்கல் பலகையும் நிறுவப்பட்டது.

📖 Children’s Ministry Sunday School Visit in Salem

The Department of Children’s Ministry, CSI Diocese of Erode–Salem, visited the Sunday School of CSI Christ Church, Salem, on Sunday, 27 September 2026. The visit was part of the Department’s continuing efforts to encourage and strengthen Sunday School ministry across the Diocese.

During the visit, the children participated enthusiastically in sessions that included a Bible story, Scripture verse and Christian songs. Through these simple and engaging activities, the children were encouraged to listen to God’s Word, understand its message and grow in their faith.

The visit also provided an opportunity for the Children’s Ministry team to interact with the Sunday School teachers and encourage them in their ministry among children. Such regular visits help strengthen the connection between the diocesan Children’s Ministry and local congregations.

The Department expressed its joy and gratitude to God for the opportunity to spend time with the children and requested the continued prayers and support of the Church for its ongoing ministry.

The Children’s Ministry continues to seek opportunities to nurture children in God’s Word and help them grow as faithful followers of Christ.

சி.எஸ்.ஐ. ஈரோடு–சேலம் திருமண்டல சிறுவர் பணித்துறையின் சார்பில், 27 செப்டம்பர் 2026 ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை, சேலத்தில் உள்ள சி.எஸ்.ஐ. கிறிஸ்துநாதர் ஆலயத்தின் ஞாயிறு பள்ளி பார்வையிடப்பட்டது.

இப்பார்வையின்போது சிறுவர்களுடன் சிறுவர் பணித்துறையினர் நேரத்தைச் செலவிட்டு, அவர்களுக்கு வேதாகமக் கதை, வேதவசனம் மற்றும் கிறிஸ்தவப் பாடல்கள் கற்றுக் கொடுத்தனர். சிறுவர்கள் ஆர்வத்துடனும் மகிழ்ச்சியுடனும் பங்கேற்று இறைவார்த்தையைக் கற்றுக்கொண்டனர்.

சிறுவர்களின் விசுவாசத்தை வளர்ப்பதிலும், இறைவார்த்தையை அவர்களுக்கு எளிமையாக எடுத்துரைப்பதிலும் ஞாயிறு பள்ளியின் முக்கியத்துவம் இந்நிகழ்வின் மூலம் மீண்டும் வலியுறுத்தப்பட்டது. ஞாயிறு பள்ளி ஆசிரியர்களுடனும் சிறுவர் பணித்துறையினர் கலந்துரையாடி, அவர்களின் அர்ப்பணிப்பான ஊழியத்தை ஊக்கப்படுத்தினர்.

திருமண்டலத்தின் பல்வேறு திருச்சபைகளில் சிறுவர் ஊழியம் சிறப்பாக நடைபெறுவதற்கான தொடர்ச்சியான முயற்சிகளில் இப்பார்வையிடலும் ஒன்றாகும். சிறுவர்களுடன் நேரத்தைச் செலவிட்டு, அவர்களுக்கு இறைவார்த்தையைக் கற்றுக்கொடுக்கும் வாய்ப்பை அளித்த இறைவனுக்கு நன்றி செலுத்துகிறோம்.

🌿 Season of Creation 2026 Celebrated at CSI Shiloh Millennium Church, Yercaud

The Season of Creation 2026 was observed in the CSI Diocese of Erode–Salem through a special creation-focused worship service held on 27 September 2026 at CSI Shiloh Millennium Church, Yercaud, in the Salem Area. The worship was conducted in partnership with the “Living Water” team, bringing together the congregation, members of the public and environmental activists from the Shevaroy Hills for a time of prayer, reflection and commitment to care for God’s creation.

The Season of Creation is an annual Christian observance during which the ecumenical Christian family around the world comes together to pray and respond to the “Cry of Creation”, recognising the earth as God’s common home, or Oikos.

The 2026 theme drew inspiration from the prophetic vision of Ezekiel, in which life-giving water flows from the sanctuary and renews the earth. The biblical vision points towards God’s enduring love, justice and the restoration of all creation, calling the Church to participate actively in the healing and renewal of the earth.

The Department of Ecological Concerns organised the worship in collaboration with the local congregation and environmental participants. Revd Joel Ashirwadam J. W., Director of Communication, together with the Administrative Committee, made arrangements for the service. Rev Dr J. Philip Robinson, Director of Ecological Concerns, and Dr Rajasekaran, Convener, Department of Ecological Concerns, contributed to developing the concept and theme of the worship.

As a significant symbolic act, water collected from major rivers of Tamil Nadu was placed before the Cross. The waters represented the rivers and water resources of the region and became a prayerful symbol of the need for ecological restoration amid environmental challenges, including the effects of El Niño and the wider ecological crisis.

The worship served as a reminder that caring for creation is an essential expression of Christian faith and discipleship.

🌿 படைப்புக் காலம் 2026 – ஏற்காடு சி.எஸ்.ஐ. ஷிலோ மில்லேனியம் ஆலயத்தில் சிறப்பு வழிபாடு

சி.எஸ்.ஐ. ஈரோடு–சேலம் திருமண்டலத்தில், 2026ஆம் ஆண்டிற்கான படைப்புக் காலம் (Season of Creation) சிறப்பு படைப்பு சார்ந்த வழிபாட்டின் மூலம் 27 செப்டம்பர் 2026 அன்று ஏற்காட்டில் உள்ள சி.எஸ்.ஐ. ஷிலோ மில்லேனியம் ஆலயத்தில், சேலம் வட்டகையில் அனுசரிக்கப்பட்டது. “Living Water” குழுவினருடன் இணைந்து நடைபெற்ற இவ்வழிபாட்டில் திருச்சபை மக்கள், பொதுமக்கள் மற்றும் சேர்வராயன் மலைப் பகுதியைச் சேர்ந்த சுற்றுச்சூழல் ஆர்வலர்கள் கலந்து கொண்டு, இறைவனுடைய படைப்பைப் பேணிப் பாதுகாப்பதற்கான ஜெபத்திலும் சிந்தனையிலும் ஒன்றிணைந்தனர்.

2026ஆம் ஆண்டின் கருப்பொருள் எசேக்கியேல் தீர்க்கதரிசியின் தரிசனத்தை அடிப்படையாகக் கொண்டது. பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்திலிருந்து உயிரளிக்கும் தண்ணீர் பாய்ந்து சென்று பூமியைப் புதுப்பிக்கும் இந்த வேதாகமத் தரிசனம், இறைவனுடைய நிலையான அன்பு, நீதி மற்றும் முழுப் படைப்பின் மறுசீரமைப்பை எடுத்துரைக்கிறது. படைப்பைப் பாதுகாத்து, புதுப்பிக்கும் பணியில் திருச்சபையும் பங்கேற்க வேண்டும் என்ற அழைப்பையும் இக்கருப்பொருள் முன்வைக்கிறது.

Executive Committee Meeting Held at CSI Polytechnic College, Salem

The Executive Committee of the CSI Diocese of Erode–Salem met on 22 September 2026 at CSI Polytechnic College, Salem, under the leadership of Rt Revd Dr J. Victor Raj, Bishop of the Diocese. The meeting was attended by the Diocesan Secretary, Treasurer and the four Area Chairmen, along with members of the Executive Committee.

The meeting provided an important forum to review the ongoing ministry and administration of the Diocese and to discuss concerns relating to its various departments. Members considered the present activities, emerging needs and challenges within different areas of ministry and shared their observations and suggestions.

The Bishop and diocesan leadership listened to the matters presented and provided guidance for strengthening the work of the various departments. Emphasis was placed on unity, cooperation, responsible administration, effective coordination and systematic planning for the future.

The committee also discussed plans and priorities for the coming period. Necessary steps were proposed to address the concerns raised and to improve the effectiveness of diocesan ministries. The importance of closer coordination between the Diocese, Areas and individual departments was also highlighted.

The deliberations served as an opportunity for collective consultation and decision-making, enabling the Executive Committee to consider the needs of the Diocese from different perspectives. The members were encouraged to work together with a shared vision and commitment towards strengthening the mission and ministry of the Church.

The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to implement the proposed measures and to continue working together for the effective administration, development and ministry of the CSI Diocese of Erode–Salem.

சி.எஸ்.ஐ. ஈரோடு–சேலம் திருமண்டலத்தின் செயற்குழுக் கூட்டம், 22 செப்டம்பர் 2026 அன்று சேலம் சி.எஸ்.ஐ. பாலிடெக்னிக் கல்லூரியில், திருமண்டல பேராயர் Rt Revd Dr J. Victor Raj அவர்களின் தலைமையில் நடைபெற்றது. இக்கூட்டத்தில் திருமண்டலச் செயலர், பொருளாளர் மற்றும் நான்கு வட்டகைத் தலைவர்கள் உள்ளிட்ட செயற்குழு உறுப்பினர்கள் கலந்துகொண்டனர்.

திருமண்டலத்தின் பல்வேறு ஊழியங்கள் மற்றும் நிர்வாகச் செயல்பாடுகளை மதிப்பாய்வு செய்து, எதிர்காலப் பணிகளுக்கான திட்டங்களை வகுப்பதற்கான முக்கியமான கலந்துரையாடல் தளமாக இக்கூட்டம் அமைந்தது. திருமண்டலத்தின் பல்வேறு துறைகள் தொடர்பான தற்போதைய செயல்பாடுகள், தேவைகள், எதிர்கொள்ளப்படும் சவால்கள் மற்றும் எதிர்கால முன்னுரிமைகள் குறித்து உறுப்பினர்கள் விரிவாகப் பேசினர்.

📖 Children’s Ministry Visits Sunday Schools in Lakkapuram and Tiruchengode

The Department of Children’s Ministry, CSI Diocese of Erode–Salem, conducted Sunday School visits at two churches on 20 September 2026, as part of its continuing ministry among children.

The first visit took place at CSI Immanuel Church, Lakkapuram, where the Children’s Ministry team spent time with the Sunday School children and teachers. The children participated in sessions centred on a Bible story, Scripture verse and songs, creating an engaging and joyful learning environment. The programme encouraged the children to listen to God’s Word, understand its message and express their faith through songs and fellowship.

On the same day, the Children’s Ministry team visited the Sunday School at CSI Christ Church, Tiruchengode. The children and teachers participated enthusiastically in the programme, which included teaching through a Bible story, Scripture verse and songs. The visit provided an opportunity to encourage the Sunday School ministry and strengthen the children in their Christian faith.

The two visits formed part of the Diocese’s ongoing effort to strengthen Sunday School ministry and support teachers in nurturing children through Bible-centred learning. The Children’s Ministry seeks to make Sunday School a meaningful space where children can learn God’s Word, develop Christian values and grow in fellowship with one another.

The Department expressed gratitude to the respective churches, Sunday School teachers and children for their warm participation and cooperation. The ministry also requested the continued prayers of the Church for the growth and effectiveness of its work among children across the Diocese.

📖 லக்காபுரம் மற்றும் திருச்செங்கோட்டில் சிறுவர் பணித்துறையின் ஞாயிறு பள்ளி பார்வையிடல்

சி.எஸ்.ஐ. ஈரோடு–சேலம் திருமண்டல சிறுவர் பணித்துறையின் சார்பில், 20 செப்டம்பர் 2026 அன்று லக்காபுரம் மற்றும் திருச்செங்கோடு ஆகிய இடங்களில் உள்ள திருச்சபைகளின் ஞாயிறு பள்ளிகள் பார்வையிடப்பட்டன. திருமண்டலம் முழுவதும் சிறுவர்களின் விசுவாச வளர்ச்சியை ஊக்குவிக்கும் வகையில் நடைபெற்று வரும் பணிகளின் ஒரு பகுதியாக இப்பார்வையிடல்கள் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டன.

முதலாவதாக லக்காபுரம் சி.எஸ்.ஐ. இம்மானுவேல் ஆலயத்தின் ஞாயிறு பள்ளி பார்வையிடப்பட்டது. அங்கு சிறுவர் பணித்துறையினர் சிறுவர்களுடனும் ஆசிரியர்களுடனும் நேரத்தைச் செலவிட்டு, அவர்களுக்கு வேதாகமக் கதை, வேதவசனம் மற்றும் பாடல்கள் கற்றுக்கொடுத்தனர். மகிழ்ச்சியான முறையில் நடைபெற்ற இந்நிகழ்வு, சிறுவர்கள் இறைவார்த்தையை ஆர்வத்துடன் கற்றுக்கொள்ளவும், அதன் செய்தியை தங்கள் வாழ்க்கையில் புரிந்துகொள்ளவும் உதவும் வகையில் அமைந்தது.

அதே நாளில் திருச்செங்கோடு சி.எஸ்.ஐ. கிறிஸ்துநாதர் ஆலயத்தின் ஞாயிறு பள்ளியும் பார்வையிடப்பட்டது. இங்கும் சிறுவர்களுக்கும் ஆசிரியர்களுக்கும் வேதாகமக் கதை, வசனம் மற்றும் பாடல்கள் கற்றுக்கொடுக்கப்பட்டன. சிறுவர்கள் ஆர்வத்துடன் பங்கேற்று, இறைவார்த்தையை மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் கற்றுக்கொண்டனர். இப்பார்வையிடல் ஞாயிறு பள்ளி ஊழியத்தை ஊக்கப்படுத்துவதற்கும், சிறுவர்களின் கிறிஸ்தவ விசுவாசத்தை மேலும் வலுப்படுத்துவதற்கும் பயனுள்ளதாக அமைந்தது.

இரு திருச்சபைகளிலும் நடைபெற்ற இப்பணிகள், குழந்தைகளை மையமாகக் கொண்ட வேதாகமக் கல்வியை வலுப்படுத்தும் திருமண்டலத்தின் தொடர்ச்சியான முயற்சியின் ஒரு பகுதியாகும். ஞாயிறு பள்ளி ஆசிரியர்களை ஊக்குவித்தல், சிறுவர்களுக்கு இறைவார்த்தையை எளிமையாகவும் மகிழ்ச்சியாகவும் எடுத்துரைத்தல் மற்றும் அவர்களின் ஆன்மிக வளர்ச்சிக்கு துணைநிற்றல் ஆகியவை சிறுவர் பணித்துறையின் முக்கிய நோக்கங்களாகும்.

இந்நிகழ்வுகளுக்கு ஒத்துழைப்பு வழங்கிய இரு திருச்சபைகளின் ஆயர்கள், நிர்வாகிகள், ஞாயிறு பள்ளி ஆசிரியர்கள் மற்றும் சிறுவர்களுக்கு சிறுவர் பணித்துறை நன்றியைத் தெரிவித்துள்ளது. திருமண்டலம் முழுவதும் நடைபெற்று வரும் சிறுவர் ஊழியங்களுக்காக தொடர்ந்து ஜெபிக்குமாறும் திருச்சபையினர் கேட்டுக்கொள்ளப்பட்டுள்ளனர்.

Six Standing Committees Review Ministry and Future Plans in Salem

The Standing Committees of the CSI Diocese of Erode–Salem met over two days at CSI Polytechnic College, Salem, to review their ministries, identify concerns and plan future programmes. On 18 September 2026, the Department of Ecological Concerns, along with five other Standing Committees of the Diocese, met under the leadership of Rt Revd Dr J. Victor Raj, Bishop, together with the Diocesan Secretary, Treasurer and the four Area Chairmen. The discussions focused on the ongoing activities, needs and future priorities of the respective committees.

The deliberations provided an opportunity for the committee members to present concerns arising from their areas of ministry and to discuss practical ways of strengthening their work. Particular attention was given to coordinated planning, effective implementation and identifying the steps required to respond to emerging needs within the Diocese and its Areas.

On 19 September 2026, another set of six Standing Committees met at the same venue. The committees included the Medical Committee, Mission and Evangelism Committee, Pastoral Care Committee, Ordination Committee, Property Committee and Finance Committee. The meeting was again conducted under the leadership of the Bishop, Diocesan Secretary, Treasurer and the four Area Chairmen.

During the second day’s deliberations, the committees reviewed matters connected with their respective responsibilities and discussed plans for the future. The members shared concerns, proposed necessary measures and considered ways to improve coordination and administration across the Diocese.

The meetings served as important platforms for consultation between the diocesan leadership and the various committees. The Bishop and other leaders listened to the matters presented and encouraged the committees to work with unity, responsibility and a clear vision for the future.

The two-day series of committee meetings reflected the Diocese’s emphasis on systematic planning, collaborative decision-making and strengthening its various ministries. The proposals and recommendations emerging from the discussions are expected to guide the committees in their future programmes and responsibilities.

சேலத்தில் திருமண்டல நிலைக்குழுக்கள் எதிர்காலப் பணிகள் குறித்து கலந்துரையாடல்

சி.எஸ்.ஐ. ஈரோடு–சேலம் திருமண்டலத்தின் நிலைக்குழுக்களின் கூட்டங்கள், 18 மற்றும் 19 செப்டம்பர் 2026 ஆகிய இரு நாட்களில் சேலம் சி.எஸ்.ஐ. பாலிடெக்னிக் கல்லூரியில் நடைபெற்றன. இக்கூட்டங்கள் திருமண்டல பேராயர் Rt Revd Dr J. Victor Raj அவர்களின் தலைமையில், திருமண்டலச் செயலர், பொருளாளர் மற்றும் நான்கு வட்டகைத் தலைவர்களின் முன்னிலையில் நடைபெற்றன.

18 செப்டம்பர் 2026 அன்று, சுற்றுச்சூழல் கரிசனைத் துறை மற்ற ஐந்து நிலைக்குழுக்களுடன் இணைந்து கூட்டத்தில் பங்கேற்றது. திருமண்டலத்தின் பல்வேறு துறைகளில் நடைபெற்று வரும் பணிகள், தற்போதைய தேவைகள், எதிர்கொள்ளப்படும் சவால்கள் மற்றும் எதிர்காலத் திட்டங்கள் குறித்து விரிவாகக் கலந்துரையாடப்பட்டது. ஒவ்வொரு குழுவினரும் தங்களது பணித்துறையில் காணப்படும் முக்கியமான பிரச்சினைகள் மற்றும் தேவைகளை எடுத்துரைத்தனர்.

திருமண்டல நிர்வாகிகள் குழுக்களின் கருத்துகளை கேட்டறிந்து, எதிர்காலப் பணிகளை மேலும் சிறப்பாக முன்னெடுப்பதற்கான வழிகாட்டுதல்களை வழங்கினர். துறைகளுக்கிடையேயான ஒருங்கிணைப்பு, முறையான திட்டமிடல், பொறுப்பான நிர்வாகம் மற்றும் நடைமுறைப்படுத்தக்கூடிய நடவடிக்கைகள் குறித்து ஆலோசிக்கப்பட்டது. முன்வைக்கப்பட்ட கவலைகளுக்குத் தேவையான நடவடிக்கைகளை மேற்கொள்வதற்கான முன்மொழிவுகளும் முன்வைக்கப்பட்டன.

19 செப்டம்பர் 2026 அன்று, அதே சி.எஸ்.ஐ. பாலிடெக்னிக் கல்லூரி, சேலம் வளாகத்தில் மேலும் ஆறு நிலைக்குழுக்கள் கூடின. அவை மருத்துவக் குழு, திருப்பணி மற்றும் சுவிசேஷப் பணிக்குழு, ஆயர் கரிசனைக் குழு, குருத்துவ அருட்பணி நியமனக் குழு, சொத்துக் குழு மற்றும் நிதிக்குழு ஆகியவையாகும்.

இக்குழுக்கள் தங்களுக்குரிய பணிப்பொறுப்புகள், நிர்வாகத் தேவைகள் மற்றும் எதிர்கால நடவடிக்கைகள் குறித்து கலந்துரையாடின. தற்போதைய பணிகளை மதிப்பீடு செய்து, எதிர்காலத்தில் மேற்கொள்ள வேண்டிய பணிகள் மற்றும் தேவையான நடைமுறை நடவடிக்கைகள் குறித்து உறுப்பினர்கள் கருத்துகளைப் பகிர்ந்துகொண்டனர்.

இரு நாட்களிலும் நடைபெற்ற இக்கூட்டங்கள் திருமண்டல நிர்வாகத்திற்கும் பல்வேறு நிலைக்குழுக்களுக்கும் இடையிலான கருத்துப் பகிர்வு, ஒருங்கிணைப்பு மற்றும் எதிர்காலத் திட்டமிடலுக்கான முக்கியமான வாய்ப்பாக அமைந்தன. திருமண்டலத்தின் பல்வேறு ஊழியங்களை மேலும் வலுப்படுத்தவும், முன்மொழியப்பட்ட நடவடிக்கைகளை முறையாக செயல்படுத்தவும் குழுக்கள் உறுதியுடன் செயல்படுவதற்கான அடித்தளமாக இக்கூட்டங்கள் அமைந்தன.
