Pithruvedi is an association functioning at the parish level and its membership is open to all married male members of families belong to our Parish. Joseph, whose total submission to the will of God, zealous protection of the holy family and characteristic temperance should guide every head of the family. The association stands for spreading the message of true Ch
ristian Love, Social Justice, the Virtues of Tolerance such as Compassion, Charity and a favourable disposition towards sick and the poor. The challenge faced is to contextualize and give practiced interpretation to these percepts, such that our community feels the impact. Much depends on imaginative programmes we design on the , success in their implementation and the commitment level of its members. Syro Malabar Community has got a proud Tradition, Culture, History and Heritage to boast of, moulded over centuries, their conversion to Christianity traces back to the arrival of St. Thomas to the shores of Kerala. An offshoot of this community is transplanted here then fresh sprouts should also be nourished by the rich tradition. Be they the facility and use of our mother tongue, food, dress code and preferences, devotional prayers, church practices or festivals. Let “Pithruvedi’ be a conduit, that our Children imbibe this rich tradition. The association also stands for the integrity and sacredness of the institution of marriage. It is a partnership for life faithfulness, commitment, love and companionship should inform and inspire the relationship for the purpose of nurturing children.
