With a great vision and passion, for Christ led Pastor.V.Salmon Raju to establish “Shalom Grace Ministries”, in a place called Angara (a rural area of Andhra Pradesh, India). He is a man of faithfulness and dedication. Its establishment was on 28 November 1999. The approximate population of Angara is 20000. They are from different backgrounds, religions and beliefs. Cast
e system prevailed in the nook and corners of our state. Hinduism has major influence on people than other religions like Islam and Christianity. In the beginning of S.G.Ministries, it was so terrible to proclaim the Gospel in Angara. These villagers were totally against to gospel. Still God enabled Pastor V. Salmon raju to reach different communities. He led numerous people to the knowledge of Christ. Since he was a Hindu he could able to reach them from their own perspectives, but never compromised in his Faith. He met Jesus and accepted Him as his personal Savior at the age of 35. He was born and brought up in Hindu family. Performed rituals accordingly since he was very religious and passionate towards his motherly religion. He followed all the precepts of Hindu Sacred books and was totally against to Christianity. He believed it as a foreign religion. As days were moving, he was affected with an unknown disease and it became a great challenge for Doctors as well as for gods (whom he was serving from his childhood). One day he had a vision with a symbolic sign “CROSS “. He realized it as a sign of redemption and forgiveness of his past transgressions. Soon after he received God’s vision, he went to a nearby church and accepted Christ as his personal Savior. First, he led his wife and three children to Christ. In the year of 1997 February 22 he was commissioned by God to come to His service. He left his well flourished business and committed his life to serve. About Ministry:
In 1999 with a great favor, God enabled pastor V. Salmon Raju to plant a church in his own village called Angara. It was started with two old woman but now the congregation went up to 150. In addition, God helped him to plant four more churches in different villages. Even though he started S G Ministries in long since we got government registration in 2014 (Regd 226/ 2014). Aims and Goals of S G Ministries:
1. Our prior goal is to Reach the Un reached with the Gospel of Jesus Christ ( Church plantation)
2. To become voice for orphans, poor and needy.
3. To reach the poor with qualitative medication.
4. Provide hygienic food supplies to the hunger (Feeding Programs).
5. Want to become a hand of help for widows in order to make them to stand on their feet.
