🎭✨ STREET PLAY COMPETITION 2025 ✨🎭

What an incredible day we had on July 25th! Our Street Play Competition brought together 11 amazing schools, each delivering powerful performances on the theme "Faith in Modern Life."

The talent and creativity on display were absolutely breathtaking! 🌟
Our young performers tackled some truly thought-provoking topics:

🌟 Single parenthood
🌟 Faith as personal encounter vs. community display
🌟 The impact of new media on our spiritual journey
🌟 How technology brings us closer to or further from the divine

Each performance reminded us that discovering faith is both a deeply personal journey AND a shared experience that connects us all. 💫

Inter-School Street Play Competition - On 25th July 2025

We witnessed an inspiring Street Play Competition with the participation of 11 schools, each delivering a spectacular performance on the theme "Faith in Modern Life." The creativity and depth displayed by the students were truly commendable.

Topics explored were both bold and thought-provoking — from single parenthood, faith as a personal encounter versus a community display, to the impact of new media in drawing us closer to or away from the Lord. Each performance took us on a journey, reminding us that the discovery of faith is a personal yet shared path.

While the competition was closely contested, the following schools emerged as winners:

🏆 Winners: St. Mary's Sr. Sec. School, Mayur Vihar

🥈 First Runners-Up: Loreto Convent School, Delhi Cantt.

🥉 Second Runners-Up: Holy Child Sr. Sec. School, Tagore Garden

📖✨ Catechism Year 2025–2026 Begins! ✨📖
📍 St. John the Evangelist Church, Palam
📅 13th July 2025

The new Catechism academic year at St. John the Evangelist Church, Palam, began with a beautiful Holy Mass dedicated to our catechism children and teachers. The Eucharistic celebration was led by Rev. Fr. Sundeep Dung Dung, Assistant Parish Priest, who delivered an inspiring homily. He encouraged the children to attend Mass regularly and to participate actively in catechism classes.

🌟 After the Mass, a ceremonial lighting of the lamp was held in the presence of parents, symbolising the light of Christ guiding the children through their faith journey. Rev. Fr. Julius Caeser, Parish Priest, along with other selected members of the parish, took part in this meaningful moment.

The Catechism Coordinator gave a warm welcome and invited Fr. Julius to address the gathering. In his message, he emphasised the importance of the Holy Mass and the need for personal preparation to receive the Eucharist meaningfully. He also urged all children to be regular and sincere in their catechism journey.

The joy of reunion was clearly visible on the children’s faces as they returned after a long break, filling the church with enthusiasm and renewed spirit! The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Mrs. Margaret Budding, who expressed deep gratitude to all present for their support and encouragement.

🙏 May this new year of faith formation be filled with grace, learning, and joy!

📍 Holy Spirit Church, Alaknanda of the Archdiocese of Delhi
📅 Inaugurated on 13th July 2025

🕯️ The inauguration began with the lighting of the lamp ceremony, symbolising the light of Christ guiding our children on their faith journey.

⛪ The Holy Mass was animated by the Catechism children, adding grace and meaning to the celebration.

📜 As part of the program, a renewal of commitment by the Catechism teachers took place, during which an oath was administered, reaffirming their dedication to nurturing the faith of our young learners.

It was a memorable and spiritually enriching start to the new Catechism year. Let us continue to walk in faith and grow in Christ together! 🙏🕊️
