When Did Everything Become “Prophecy”?

Just because someone calls out names, mentions details about an entire family, and then speaks something that sounds good in the name of “prophecy” does not automatically make that person a prophet!

How long are you going to be deceived into calling everyone who practices tarot reading, fortune-telling, or similar activities a “prophet” simply because they seem to know certain things?

Jesus Himself gave us a very serious warning in Matthew 7:22–23:

“Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?”
“And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”

Think about that carefully.

These were not the words of the devil. These were the words of Jesus.

Jesus said that many would stand before Him on that day and claim that they had prophesied in His name, cast out demons in His name, and performed many wonderful works.

Yet Jesus will say to some of them:
“I never knew you.”

So, apparently, supernatural manifestations, impressive words, accurate-sounding revelations, and even claims of doing things in Jesus’ name are not sufficient evidence that someone truly belongs to Christ or speaks for God.

The Bible repeatedly warns us to test what we hear and not blindly believe every spiritual claim.

Calling out names can be done by deceptive spiritual practices.
Speaking accurate information does not automatically prove divine revelation.
Using the name of Jesus does not automatically make a ministry biblical.

Even Satan can disguise himself as “an angel of light” (2 Corinthians 11:14).

Therefore, stop being foolish enough to call everything “prophecy” and every gathering a “revival.”

Test everything by the Word of God.

Not everything supernatural is from God.
Not everything impressive is anointed.
Not everyone who says “Thus says the Lord” is speaking for the Lord.

The standard is not how accurate the revelation sounds.
The standard is whether it agrees with the Word of God and points people to the true Christ.

“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God.” 1 John 4:1

Discernment is not unbelief.
Biblical testing is not criticism.
And calling something “prophecy” does not make it prophecy.
