“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine…”
2 Timothy 4:3–4

One of the great dangers in modern Christianity is confusing emotional entertainment with spiritual life.

A person can be very stirred in a moment of entertainment and still remain completely unchanged by the Word of God.

That is why the atmosphere and your feelings can never be the test of Biblical faithfulness in a church.

The real questions are:

Was the text handled faithfully in its Theological context?

Was Christ exalted clearly?

Was sin exposed honestly?

Was repentance called for biblically?

Was the gospel of salvation proclaimed truthfully?

Jesus said, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me” (John 10:27).

Sheep need only the voice of their Shepherd. Feed them the Word of God faithfully and they will show up, they WILL be changed.

A church can be full and still be starving.

A sermon can be exciting and still be so empty.

Faithful teaching should move us, but it should move us because the truth of God’s Word has pierced the heart, not because the atmosphere was engineered to produce a reaction.

Truth is, if the expounding of Scripture feels insufficient or boring to us, we should stop defending our preferences and really start examining our hearts.

Because if Scripture applied by The Holy Spirit is not enough to spiritually sustain us, nothing else will ever fully satisfy.

Eventually everything else runs empty.

“Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.” Matthew 4:4

Nor share in other people’s sins: We all have enough sin of our own; we do not need to add to it by partaking in the sins of others. There are many ways we can do this.

· We can share in the sins of others by setting a bad example before them.

· We can share in the sins of others by approving of them or ignoring them.

· We can share in the sins of others by joining a church that spreads dangerous teachings.

How to recognize hellbound pastors and leadeds:

Recognizing false, spiritually dangerous, or "hell-bound" leaders requires measuring their lives and teachings against clear biblical standards. Scripture warns believers to evaluate spiritual leaders based on their spiritual fruit, the accuracy of their message, and their moral character.

1. Evaluate Their Message: False teachers often dilute the core tenets of the Christian faith to gain popularity or to avoid offending their audience. They deny fundamental doctrines: They may question the deity of Christ, the resurrection, or the reality of sin and salvation. They preach a "different gospel": They focus primarily on material wealth, prosperity, or self-help rather than repentance and the cross. They twist Scripture: They take verses out of context to justify personal greed or questionable lifestyles.

2. Examine Their Character: A true shepherd’s life must reflect the character of Christ. You can identify corrupt leaders by looking for these red flags:They lack humility: They demand special status, unquestioning submission, or titles, showing a lack of a servant's heart. They are motivated by greed: They exploit the congregation financially and focus on personal luxury, resembling "hirelings" rather than true shepherds. They exhibit moral failure: They engage in habitual unrepentant sin, such as sexual immorality, deceit, or abuse of power.

3. Observe the Impact on the Flock: The health of a congregation often reflects the heart of its leadership.

* They cause division: They use manipulation, gossip, and control to divide the body of Christ rather than building unity.
* They fail to correct sin: They offer false peace and refuse to address unrighteousness to keep people comfortable or to protect their own reputation.
* They lead people away from Christ: The focus of the church shifts from worshiping Jesus to worshiping the leader or their specific programs. Scripture commands believers to test the spirits and avoid leaders who do not abide by the teachings of Christ.

Healing Sunday, Miracle Sunday, Prophecy Sunday, Forensic Sunday, Cash Flow Sunday, Breakthrough Sunday, Overflowing Sunday, Financial Sunday, Wealth Sunday...

Everything seems to be about blessings, miracles, money, breakthroughs, and prosperity. But aren't all these merely byproducts of the Gospel?

Where is Jesus in all of this?

Why is it becoming so difficult to find even the name Jesus on many of these posters today?

The focus appears to have shifted from the Giver to the gifts, from Christ to benefits, from worship to personal gain.

The Bible says:
For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord. - Corinthians 4:5

And again:
I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. - 1 Corinthians 2:2

Yet many have replaced the message of the Cross with messages that appeal to the flesh and the desires of this world.

What was meant to be a gathering centered on Christ has often become a platform for promoting experiences, promises, and personal prosperity.

Listen, do whatever you choose to do. But let us not forget that Sunday is the Lord's Day, a holy day set apart for Him.

A day for:
Worship,
Praise,
Prayer,
Fellowship,
The Word of God,
Exalting Jesus Christ...

And not a marketplace for selling blessings, breakthroughs, wealth, or success.

The Church was never commissioned to market miracles. The Church was commissioned to preach Christ crucified, risen, and coming again.

Stop selling Jesus. Rather;
Preach Jesus.
Exalt Jesus.
Worship Jesus.
Follow Jesus.

Because when Jesus is truly present, everything else finds its proper place.

In Him,
