On the occasion of Pentecost Sunday, 24th May 2026, the Darjeeling Catholic Association (DCA) of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception successfully organized a Blood Donation Camp in collaboration with Grace Paramedical & Health Academy. The noble initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation from donors and volunteers, reflecting the spirit of service, compassion and unity within the community. The camp was conducted smoothly and contributed towards supporting the continuous need for blood in healthcare services.

Mrs. Cecilia Edwards Dewan, who peacefully departed for her heavenly abode on 21st May 2026, leaving behind a legacy of faith, love and selfless service.
She was a remarkable woman who contributed immensely to the formation of the Catholic faith and served the parishioners of the Immaculate Conception Cathedral with great dedication and compassion for more than 6 decades.
Her life of faith, humility and service will always be remembered with deep respect and gratitude by all who knew her.

The mortal remains will be kept at Glenary's, for paying of last respects till 1:00 PM on 22nd May 2026. The funeral Mass will begin at 2:00 PM at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral.

May her soul rest in eternal peace. 🙏
