"Sri Lakshmi SudarsanaPeedam" was established hundreds of years ago by the Amsavadi Thiruvamsamfor the

Temple, Pooja, Uthsava, Sishya Paripala And Thiruvarathana Administrationand discipleship of the Lord Shri Bhu Neela Nayeka Sametha Shri ThandigaiRenganatha Swamy’s Devasthanam by the grace of Sri:YapPathi Sarveshwara ShrimanNarayana. Amsavadi Thiruvamsam (PreciousHeriditary):

It is well known that SwamiKoorathalwan himself gave Kashayam to Swami Ramanuja who was being persecutedby Kulothunga Chola and acted like Swami Emperumanar, Saved and guided SwamiRamanuja to upland (Melkote). That Night Swami Ramanuja stayedin the palace of Shriman Krishnayangar, Amsavadi. It is a historical story thatSriman Krishnayangar then recited the praises of Chaturbhuja Rama, whom he wasworshipping. Acharya Ramanuja Heard Happily and made upadesa of (preached) theThiruvaradhana Krama to Shriman Krishnayangar, recited the Bhagavata Paripalanaand blessed him, and then ascended to Melkote (Thirunarayanapuram). From thenon this dynasty was called “Amsavadi Thiruvamsam”. In addition, those Thiruvaradhana methods were preached and followed till today. From Amsawadi to“Thunasikuttai”:

After 1750 AD, during thereign of Tipu Sultan, the people of Okkalika, who suffered many hardships, decided to move their lives from Amsavadi to another place and when they leftthe town, they took our great "Sri Chatur Bhuja Rama" with them andstarted living their lives by making small villages in many places throughKollekal - Sathyamangalam. At that time, some OkkalikaMahajanas headed by "Govinda Pattarakan" came with Perumal to the place where our sanctum is now located. (The old shrine can still be seentoday). Later, with the support of the Pandya Little princes (Kuru Nila Mannargal) who were ruling this Coimbatore at that time, he built a temple for our Perumal to worship. The Pandya kings also built the temple in the same way. Still in their memory the “fish” symbol can be seen on the walls and lampposts. After that, during the consecration of Sri Chatur Bhuja Rama, Perumal Thirumeni was destroyed and thesanctum was without Perumal for a long time. After that when Sri Embuswami Iyengar(8) came to the title, Perumal Thirumeni was documented to be consecrated and during the time of his Thirukumar Sri Yathiraja Iyengar (9) Sri Tandigai Renganatha swamy consecrated Thirumeni was done. Considering that Chatur BhujaRama should not be a solitary goddess on the hill, they consecrated Sri Renganatha (a form of Chatur Bhuja Rama) as Soumya Shanta Murthy. Thandigai means “Pallaku” in Tamil. From Amsawadi to Tunasikuttai, Perumal got up on thepallaku and is also known as "Sri Thandigai Renkanathar".
