WAQF AMENDMENT BILL 2025 PASSED IN THE PARLIAMENT:

USCIRF RELEASED 2025 ANNUAL REPORT

The United States Commission on International Religious Freedom ( ) has released its annual report on Tuesday, providing an update on the status of religious freedom that is existing worldwide.

Afghanistan, India and Vietnam to be added to the U.S. list of Countries of Particular Concern (CPC) for religious liberty violations. The US Commission on International Religious Freedom monitors/analyzes India's harassment/violence against religious minorities, especially Muslims.

In the Meantime, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) of India has said that the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) should be designated as an entity of concern and noted that the USCIRF 2025 Annual Report "once again continues its pattern of issuing biased and politically motivated assessments.

THREE PEOPLE WERE ARRESTED IN UP FOR AN ALLEGED CONVERSION COMPLAINT:

Three people have been arrested in , for allegedly trying to convert a woman worker of the BJP to Christianity in the Khoda area. Ibrahim Thomas, his wife Reewa, and one Babita were arrested on Saturday following a complaint by Sunita Arora, a local BJP worker.

In her complaint, lodged at Khoda police station on Friday, Arora alleged that her neighbor Babita introduced her to Thomas, a Kerala native working at the Kalwari Church.
