Born in Odisha, artist ๐“๐ฎ๐ญ๐ฎ ๐๐š๐ญ๐ญ๐ง๐š๐ข๐คโ€™s practice is rooted in the ancient traditions, cultural heritage, and collective memories of Odisha and India. Through sculpture, he creates a dialogue between past and present, drawing upon myths, philosophies, rituals, and enduring cultural values while engaging both traditional and contemporary materials and methods. His work is informed by personal memories and encounters with classical sculptures, temples, shrines, architectural fragments, folk and tribal artifacts, and the surviving remnants of historical civilizations.
While inspired by sculptural traditions from around the world, Pattnaik remains deeply connected to the cultural essence of Odisha. This connection informs both his visual art and his writings, through which he continues to celebrate and share Odia identity within an international context.
Stone occupies a central place in his practice. For Pattnaik, it is more than a material it is a vessel of memory, permanence, and transformation. Through stone, he seeks to preserve cultural narratives and create forms that resonate across time, place, and generations.

Contemporary artist ๐’๐š๐ฆ๐ข๐ซ ๐’๐š๐ซ๐ค๐š๐ซโ€™s paintings explore the layered complexities of human identity through a recurring visual motif figures wearing headgear adorned with painted faces. These symbolic forms reflect the โ€œdouble-facedโ€ nature of society and the roles individuals perform in everyday life.

Drawing inspiration from professions where uniforms and headgear signify authority, duty, or status, Sarkar transforms these elements into metaphors for the masks people wear to project socially constructed identities. Beneath these external personas lies another reality private, vulnerable, and often unseen.

Through bold figurative narratives, Sarkar invites viewers to reflect on the contrast between appearance and authenticity, public performance and inner truth.

The occasion commemorated three significant milestonesโ€”the launch of the IAMARTIST International Art Magazine, the Masterclass Art Exhibition โ€œThe Golden Triangle,โ€ and the presentation of the Golden Triangle Excellence Awards.

As the memorable celebration concluded, organizers Smruti Nayak and Debashish Baral expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to making the event a grand success. What had once begun as the dream of a passionate individual had transformed into a meaningful artistic movement, made possible through the unwavering support, encouragement, and presence of artists, dignitaries, and well-wishers.

The exhibition also featured Paramjeet Singh, former Professor of Fine Arts at Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi; Prem Singh, former Principal of Government College of Art, Chandigarh; along with Prithvi Soni, Ram Viranjan, Somenath Maity, and Swapan Roy. Representing diverse artistic traditions, contemporary practices, sculpture, painting, and academic excellence, these distinguished personalities transformed the exhibition into a landmark celebration of artistic legacy, creativity, and cultural dialogue.

A deeply emotional tribute was paid to legendary sculptor Ram V. Sutar, whose extraordinary artistic legacy became the inspiration behind the launch of the International Art Magazine. The organizers shared that meeting the maestro had been a defining moment that inspired them to dedicate the publication in his honour.

Sincere thanks were conveyed to Dr. Anil Ram Sutar for his constant support, valuable guidance, and encouragement throughout the journey. Gratitude was also extended to every participating artist who wholeheartedly contributed their artworks to the exhibition, helping transform the vision into reality.
