As the Team Leader this is my testimony:
This last year has been great – work continues to enthuse me and provide me with memorable travels and experiences. However, no matter where work takes me, I find my passion for travel is truly realized on short term mission trips. A friend recently asked “So what’s your ministry these days?” That question stopped me right there – “What is my ministry?” I
hadn’t really thought that I had a “ministry”; I am definitely not a preacher or evangelist. Soon I realized we all have a ministry, a calling – the challenge is to recognize it, pursue it and nurture it. Through that innocent question I realized my ministry is Short Term Missions – promoting them, supporting them and doing them. As many of you who have been walking me on my trips know my very first trip was to Santa Cruz Bolivia, 6 years ago – Oct 2009. And since then I’ve been privileged to return to Santa Cruz and lead teams to Kiev Ukraine and Vellore India. This year Mount Paran, my Church, asked me to again lead the team to Vellore India. Mount Paran has had ties to India for many years and has helped build a children’s home in the city of Vellore. In this home, the children of rural Pastors live during the school year; providing them the opportunity for an education that just isn’t available in their home villages. Each year a mission team goes in to repair, build and help maintain the building for the next year. October 14th of this year we go to do what we are led to do and whatever they ask us to do. I can’t do this by myself; I need your help; and no, not just money (but that I can also use; more on that later). I need for you to keep me in your thoughts and prayers as I prepare for and undertake this journey. I know that we all need prayer and love to grow and flourish. On my own I cannot do anything; but with your prayers and the Glory of our God I can do many things. I ask for your prayers that I will be open to what God wants to teach me; that our mission team works well together and that to those we have the opportunity to minister to have open ears and hearts to receive what we offer. If you do have a desire to help financially; you know that I will accept any donation that you offer (all donations are tax deductible). I can accept checks or cash; the Church can process credit cards directly online. Please make your check out to Mount Paran Church and in the memo field add “Cimarik – India STM” (If you would rather give online please message me for instructions). I do thank you for your support – I know we will be strengthened by your thoughts & prayers.
