It takes my attention of certain drifting from the pattern we knew the church to be to what we have today in several congregations of Churches of Christ.

A quick question that I want us to discuss...

Is it right biblically, for Sisters to serve as ushers during church services/activities?

Is there any act of usurping authority by sisters serving as ushers during church services or worship?

Lets discuss this as we learn to correct some practices in our various congregations.

"DISCIPLE"
Text: Mt.16:24,11:29; Lk.9:23,11:28;Jn.6:60,66

*We know that a disciple is one who follows & learns. *The term disciple is from koine Greek word 'MATHETES'..generally means one who engages in learning through instructions from another pupil-apprentice. Religious context in (Bible. Acts.22:3).One who is rather constantly associated with some one who has reputation. In the ancient world, actively imitated life and teaching of the master. Gamaliel & Paul. *We also learn a basic truth: Christian life is not a lawn of roses, Master/Rabbi who says to carry our cross daily, will he not teach us how to? *Why many of us fail is we do not fall in line with His thoughts, mind, teachings, we want to be heard and that is denying self which is our greatest problem *OK fine, but did you know, along with hear & learn 'GROWING' is involved? Verses teach us:
# 1Pet.2:1-2; 2Pet.3:18; Col.2:6-8; Eph.4:15..'A DESIRE is basic requisite. We may not be fore- saking any assembly, we may also bring many visitors, but without a desire to grow, any number of hearing is vain..like a horse driven to drink water. Also possible is sincere milk of the word..but insincere carnal growth! *Rooted & built up in Him, as taught GROW..is must. Be No More CHILDREN means that-Eph.4:14.
# Heb.5:12..Like GDP of any nation so also to 'GROW' is for any individual! But in spiritual life expectations very HIGH..out to be teachers! bcoz of time factor. Time very precious indeed
# Undeveloped still others Underdeveloped, many not growing at all, still others not growing as expected. What is effecting our growth? Jesus has the Right answer.
*Mt.13:19-22; Heb.5:11.Dulness in hearing, not trying to understand, analysing what seen and heard...even well learned men fall into this trap leads to many misunderstandings,& problems remain unsolved. Emotions should not over rule logics of God's words.
# Eph.4:17; Acts.17:18-21; Eph.5:15-17 We see that many Time pass..pass the time vainly. Inspired words say-Eph.5:15-17. When we stand before the Lord in judgment, he will not accept if we say I don't know the will of God. It is our business to examine, and search the scriptures & Grow in the knowledge of Christ.
* Misplaced priorities. Mt.6:25-34. Gaining the whole world and eventually loosing our own precious soul-eternal life.
*We should understand that without putting OFF there cannot be putting ON. When once that is done..Path towards Growth becomes easy with the help of the fruit of Spirit.👇
💖Rm.12:10 kindly affectionate with brotherly love.
💖Eph.4:2 Forbearing in love & forgiving.
💖Col.3:13-14. And above all these things PUT on LOVE, which is the bond of perfectness. Memory verse for us here. Bind us together Lord..with love..'Bind us together with chains that cannot be broken..so goes the wonderful song.' come let all of us bind in/with Love💖.

Don't feel tired to forgive someone, just remember that if your offence to man and against God was to measured there wouldn't be any room for you to still live till today.

Love holds the key to forgiveness. Have you offended anyone? Just go and plead for forgiveness and try to avoid such act from happening again.

When you forgive you free your mind from stress and free your heart from usual shock.

When you hate you are only in a prison of pain and suffering because anytime you see the person you will be uncomfortable, unhealthy and worried.

Let love lead you through your daily activities...

WHAT YOU MAY HAVE FORGOTTEN ABOUT MARRIAGE

*MARRIAGE 101*

MARRIAGE is like a shoe. When you wear oversize be ready to drag it along through out life, and when you wear under-size be ready to feel the pains through out life." One thing about marriage is that you don't drop your shoe or remove it at any point, no matter how painful or how stressful it is.

That is why I thought it necessary to write you this letter.

Dear Singles,
When you are ready to buy your own shoe please take note of these three things:

1. PHYSICAL APPEARANCE : Do not look for the beautiful ones, the nice ones or the cheap ones. Look for the one that is your size. Not every handsome, wealthy or intelligent guy is for you, not every beautiful woman is for you. Look for the one that is meant for you, the one that aligns with your values and belief, the one who you meet at your life's journey. It is important to know where you're going in life before you think of getting a wife.

2. POSITION: All sizes of shoes are not placed in the same place.
There is a place for court shoes, laced up shoes, sport footwear, snickers etc. We have Children sizes, young people's sizes and the adult sizes. Know where to get your own shoe. Your size cannot be everywhere my brother, your type cannot be everywhere my sister. You cannot be a Christian, and be looking for a wife material at a club. Your wife or husband can't just be everywhere.

Stick to your values and therein you shall find someone like you, but when your values are not defined anyone can just match you. Discover yourself and define your values

3. PERCEPTIONS: In this kind of shoe purchasing enterprise, you are not permitted to try the shoe before you buy. This is why it is important to seek guidance and counseling, from people who have bought shoes before or are into the business of directing people to the right shoes (pastors, marriage counsellors and Relationship coaches).
And most importantly to avoid much time wasting time, simply consult the shoe manufacturer to tell you your size (Almighty God).

"You do not prepare for wedding, you prepare for marriage."

Ladies these days get so motivated when they attend wedding and they will quickly want to say yes to that guy. Wait!!! It is not just the wedding oh. The wedding is just one day. After the wedding WHAT NEXT?

Finally, it is not something you rush to the market and just pick a shoe because you like or can purchase it.
Ask questions

-Where is this shoe made from? (Background)

-What's the size (Values)

-How much (His/Her interest)

-How long will it last (His/Her Character)

-Who made it? (Is she/He of the same faith This is compatibility)

-Will it match me? (This is whether he/she love you and will

accept you the way you are)

Dear one, remember many are dragging their foot and they
would hardly reach their destinies, many are feeling endless pains and wish he could pull off the shoes but no way!!! I have seen people with beautiful shoes and when they show you their foot, you will see scars. Beloved, it is not about the physical, it is the size, you can't know the size from afar so come close, build a relationship first but remember 'you are not permitted to try it before you buy it'.
And for those who have purchased the wrong shoes, you can still make it your size again if you'd consult the manufacturer and let Him have His way in your marriage.
