_Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported that Rasulullah ﷺ said:_

*“You can certainly not enrich [all] people with your wealth, but you can offer them a smiling face and good character.”*

*_(Mustadrak Hakim, vol. 1, pg. 124)_*

This Hadith explains that it is impossible to provide wealth to everyone to bring them happiness. However, one can, at the very least, extend a smile and interact with others with good character.

_Sayyiduna Abu Malik Al Ash’ari رضي الله عنه reported that Rasulullah ﷺ said:_

*“There were three individuals. One had ten dinars and gave in charity one dinar from it. Another had ten uqiyyah [a measure of weight] and gave one uqiyyah in charity. The third had one hundred uqiyyah and gave ten in charity.” Rasulullah ﷺ then said, “They will receive an equal amount of reward since they all gave one-tenth of their wealth in charity. Allah Ta’ala says, “Let him who has abundance spend out of his abundance.” (Surah Talaq, Verse: 7)*

_Sayyiduna Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه narrates that Nabi ﷺ said:_

*“A man will follow the religion of his friend [i.e., he will follow his habits and ways] so one of you should look at who he befriends.”*

_Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Umar رضي الله عنهما narrates that Rasulullah ﷺ said:_

*“Whoever recites Surah Kahf on Friday, a light will shine from his feet to the clouds which will shine on the day of Qiyamah and he will be be forgiven for the [minor] sins committed between the two Fridays.”*

Today being the blessed day of Friday, let us:

1. Recite Surah Kahf,
2. Engage in fervent duaa
3. Send abundant salaat and salaam (durood) on Nabi ﷺ.

_Sayyiduna Sa’d ibn Abi Waqqas رضي الله عنه reported that Rasulullah ﷺ said:_

*“There are four things that are among the sources of happiness for man:*

1. A righteous wife
2. A spacious home
3. A righteous neighbour
4. A comfortable means of transport”

_Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported that Nabi ﷺ said:_

*The generous person is close to Allah, close to Jannah, close to people and far from Jahannam. The miser, however, is far from Allah, far from Jannah, far from people and close to Jahannam. A generous person who [does not carry out many optional deeds] is more beloved to Allah than a miserly worshipper [who carries out other optional deeds].”*

_Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Abbas رضي الله عنهما reports:_

*“Rasulullah ﷺ cursed those men who imitate women and those women who imitate men”*

_‘Emulating’ or ‘imitating’ in this Hadith refers to the manner of dressing, adornment, the manner of walking and talking of each gender._

_Sayyidatuna ‘Aaishah رضي الله عنها reports that I never saw Nabi ﷺ fasting in any other month as much as he did in Sha’ban.’_

*Among the reasons given for this are the following:*

```Just as there are nafl/sunnah salahs before and after the Fard salahs, similarly, there are optional fasts before Ramadan and after. (in Sha’ban and the 6 fasts of Shawwal).```

```Another reason for Nabi ﷺ increasing his optional fast in Sha’ban was to prepare for Ramadan.```

*Note: One should avoid fasting after the 15th of Sha’ban, so that strength may be preserved for Ramadan except for those who are habitual to Monday and Thursday's fasting.*

_Whoever says the following when hearing a sneeze, will never experience toothache or an earache:_

_الحمد لله رب العالمين على كل حال ما كان_

_Alhamdulillahi Rabbil ‘Alamin ‘ala kulli halim ma kana_

_Translation: All praise belongs to Allah, the Rabb of the universe in every situation._

_Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported, "Nabi ﷺ said:_ *'Yawning is from shaytaan. When one of you yawns, let him suppress it as much as he can, for when you say ‘ha’ (i.e. make a sound when yawning), shaytaan laughs (as this leads to laziness and negligence)'”.*

_Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ reported, "Rasulullah ﷺ said,_ *'If a woman gives something (i.e. in charity) from her husband's earnings without his permission, she will get half his reward'".*
_(Bukhari)_

_Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Amr reported (RadiyAllahu anhu) narrated : "Rasulullah ‎(ﷺ), said,_ *'The world is (rapidly passing) enjoyment, and the best enjoyment in the world is a righteous wife'”.*
