_Sayyiduna Abbas رضي الله عنه reported: They entered upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ without having brushed their teeth._ *The Prophet ﷺ said, “You enter upon me with unclean teeth? Go use the Miswak. Were it not difficult for my nation, I would have obligated them to use the miswak at every salah, just as I obligated them to perform wudhu/ablution.”*

_Sayyiduna Jaabir رضي الله عنه reports that Rasulullah ﷺ had a jubbah (a robe or long garment) that he would wear specially on the days of Eid and the day of Jumu’ah._

Today being the blessed day of Friday, let us:

1. Recite Surah Kahf.
2. Engage in fervent duaa.
3. Recite abundant Durood/Salawaat on Nabi ﷺ.

_Hayyan Abi al-Nadrah reported: I went out to visit Yazid ibn al-Aswad as he was suffering a fatal illness, and I met Wathilah ibn al-Asqa’ رضي الله عنه who also wanted to visit him. We entered Yazid’s home and Wathilah رضى الله عنه said, “What do you expect from Allah?” Yazid said, “By Allah, I expect good from Allah.”_

_Sayyiduna Wathilah رضي الله عنه said:_

_Rejoice! For I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say that Allah Almighty said:_

*I am as my servant expects me. If he expects good, he will have it. If he expects evil, he will have it.*

_Sayyiduna Abu Sa’id and Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنهما report that they heard Rasulullah ﷺ say:_

*“Whatever discomfort, tiredness, illness, grief or even worry that affects a Mu’min will be a means of expiating his sins.”*

_Sayyidatuna Asma’ bint ‘Umays رضي الله عنها reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said,_

*“Whoever is afflicted by anxiety, grief, illness, or hardship and he says the following, it will be removed.*

*اَللّٰهُ رَبِّيْ لَا شَرِيْكَ لَهُ*
_Allah hu rabbi la sharika lahu._
```‘Allah is my Lord without any partner,’```

*Monday يوم الاثنين*

_Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn Mas’ud رضي الله عنه reports that a guest came to Nabi ﷺ. He asked his wives for food, but none of them had any._ *He then recited the following du’a:*

*اللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ وَرَحْمَتِكَ، فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَمْلِكُهَا إِلَّا أَنْتَ*

*Transliteration:* _Allahumma inni as-aluka min fadlika wa rahmatika, fa innahu la yamlikuha illa anta._

_*Translation:* O Allah, I ask You for Your bounty and mercy, for none possesses them except You._

_A roasted sheep was then given to him as a gift._ *Nabi ﷺ said: “This is from Allah’s bounty, and we await His mercy.”*

_Sayyidatuna Dhurrah bint Abi Lahab رضي الله عنها reported: A man stood up whilst Nabi ﷺ was upon the pulpit, and he asked, “O Messenger of Allah, who among people are best?”_

*Nabi ﷺ said, “The best of people are:*

- The most to recite the Quran
- The most fearful of Allah,
- The most enjoining of good
- The most forbidding of evil
- The most to maintain family relations.”

_Sayyiduna Abu Umamah رضي الله عنه reports that Nabi ﷺ said:_

*“Carrying out good deeds protects one from an evil death, giving charity secretly extinguishes the Anger of Allah Ta’ala and joining family ties increases one’s lifespan.”*

_Sayyiduna Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said,_

*“The gates of Paradise are opened on Monday and Thursday. Allah forgives every servant who does not associate anything with Him(as partners), except a man with enmity/rancor between himself and his brother. It will be said: Delay (the forgiveness of) these two until they reconcile, delay these two until they reconcile, delay these two until they reconcile.”*

_Sayyiduna Abud Darda رضي الله عنه reports that Nabi ﷺ said:_

*“Should I not tell you something that is better than [voluntary/optional] fasting, Salah and charity?’*

_They [The Sahabah] said: ‘Yes.’_

*He ﷺ said: ‘Reconciling and making peace between people, for spoiling relations is the shaver [shaves/destroys Din and good].*
