9TH MAY, 2025 – COMPLIMENTARY PRAYERS HELD FOR NIERAJAA RAVI & SURABHI’S FAMILIES, THEIR BELOVED DOGS AT SHRI KAAL BHAIRAVA PRASANNA TEMPLE, VOSD

A serene and heartfelt pooja was held on Sunday, May 4th, 2025, at the Shri Kaal Bhairava Prasanna temple located within the VOSD Sanctuary. The sacred rituals were conducted to invoke the blessings of Lord Bhairava for protection, health, and peace.

During the ceremony, special complimentary prayers were offered for the health and well-being of Nierajaa Ravi, Venkatesh Thirugnana Sambantham, Krish N Venkatesh, and their beloved dog Brownie N Venkatesh, whom they proudly call their “furst born.”

Prayers were also offered for Lucky, a deeply loved street dog who went missing from his locality in August 2023. His caregiver Surabhi, continues to hope and pray for his safety and peace. Blessings were invoked for Girish, Surabhi, their daughter Akshara, and their furry children Prince, Joy, and Cookie for their continued love, strength, and happiness.

Did you know? Lord Kaal Bhairava is regarded as the Kshetrapalaka (protector of places and beings) in many ancient texts. It is believed that sincere prayers to Bhairava not only remove fear and anxiety but also protect devotees from unseen dangers. Worshipping him is said to bestow courage, resolve karmic debts, and even safeguard one’s pets and animals under their care. Feeding animals, especially dogs, on Bhairava’s day (Sunday or Saturday, depending on the region) is considered one of the purest offerings to him.

6TH APRIL, 2025 - COMPLIMENTARY PRAYERS HELD FOR LUCY, NIDHI SHANKDHAR, HER FAMILY, THEIR BELOVED DOGS, AND THE STREET DOGS THEY CARE FOR AT SHRI KAAL BHAIRAV PRASANNA TEMPLE, VOSD

A serene and heartfelt pooja was held on April 6th, 2025, at the Shri Kaal Bhairav Prasanna temple located within the VOSD Sanctuary. The sacred rituals were conducted to invoke the blessings of Lord Bhairav for protection, well-being, and peace.

During the ceremony, special complimentary prayers were offered for the safe return of Lucy, a beloved street dog who has been missing since 9th March from Ashok Vihar, Delhi. The pooja was also dedicated to the health, happiness, and prosperity of Nidhi Shankdhar, her husband Honey Chauhan, and her father Pramod Kumar Shankdhar.

Prayers were offered for their cherished pet dogs — Peggy, Oreo, and Gopi — and for the community dogs they care for with so much love: Bagheera, Dobby, Puttu, Kaali, Lucy, Mr B., Chota Bheem, Dholak, Frooti, and Brown Bagheera.

Yesterday, during the weekly Shri Kaal Bhairav Prasanna temple pooja, we held complimentary prayers for the health & happiness of senior pet dog Buddybud who has been diagnosed with tick fever 'anaplasma platys'. We also said prayers for Neeraj who is doing everything to support, protect, and keep Buddybud whole and healthy.

We also said prayers for her loving family - Ashmita, Arpita, Aarchik - who have been doing everything possible to help their sweet baby recover soon.

He had a spine infection and his back legs are not moving. We also said prayers for his pet parent Sujata who is taking utmost care of her sweet baby.

PRAYERS HELD FOR OSCAR MASURKAR AT SHRI KAAL BHAIRAVA PRASANNA TEMPLE AT VOSD

Prayers were held at Shri Kaal Bhairava Prasanna Temple in loving memory of Oscar Masurkar. The sweet pooch breathed his last on April 6th this year, leaving his family heartbroken. It was his birth anniversary on May 15th, so a prayer service was held for Oscar and his family members including Amma (Gayatri), Papa (Vivek), Dada (Arjun), Apoorva and Sukanth, who are mourning the loss of the dear boy.

We extend our most heartfelt sympathies to Oscar's family members and send them our best in this difficult time. Rest in peace, dear Oscar!

11th JANUARY 2024: COMPLIMENTARY PRAYERS HELD IN LOVING MEMORY OF TAFFY AT SHRI KAAL BHAIRAV PRASANNA TEMPLE, VOSD.

As the sun set into its descent for the evening, the gentle orange rays cast a glow upon the magnificent Kaal Bhairav idol inside the temple at the VOSD Sanctuary. A pooja to invoke Lord Bhairav's blessings, was conducted at the shrine on 7th January, 2024.

During the Shri Kaal Bhairav Prasanna temple pooja, we held complimentary prayers in loving memory of pet dog Taffy and to offer peace & health to his family - Vaishali Pokle, Vishwas Pokle, Tanisha Pokle, Tanmay Pokle, and Soham Pokle.

We offer our deepest condolences to Taffy's loving family as they grieve the loss of their dear one. May baba ji give them all strength in this tough time. Rest in peace, dear Taffy!
