0 years ago. The main image in the sanctum is that of Baldeo or Balram with his spouse Revati. Nearby is the brick lined tank, the Khir Sagar or Balbhadra Kund, from where the original image housed in the temple was found. Baldeo is famous for two other temples, Banke-Behari and Harideva. The biggest festival is Aghan ka Mela, which is celebrated on the 15th day of the bright half of the lunar month Agrahayana. Agra airport is about 62 km from Mathura. Mathura is on the main lines of the Central and Western Railways and is connected with major cities such as Delhi, Agra, Mumbai, Jaipur, Gwalior, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Chennai and Lucknow.
