# # **ЁЯЪи 1. BEWARE OF FAKE PROFILES! (LinkedIn & Slack)**
**North Korean hackers** are adopting new, hi-tech methods:
* **The Deception:** Hackers have created **fake trading firm** profiles on **LinkedIn** and **Slack**.
* **The Target:** These profiles are targeting 'Node.js maintainers' and other employees.
* **The Damage:** Using this tactic, they have stolen **$285 million (approx. 2379 Cr INR)**.
тЪая╕П **Only communicate with verified accounts and never place blind trust in any new, unknown profile.**
**ЁЯЪи 2. FAKE CHROME EXTENSION: 'ChatGPT Ad Blocker'**
Choose your browser extensions carefully:
* **ALERT:** A **fake 'ChatGPT Ad Blocker' extension** for the Google Chrome web browser has been caught.
* **The Truth:** This extension was found **spying on users**.
* **Caution:** Always download browser extensions only from authoritative/official sources.
**ЁЯЪи 3. SOCIAL ENGINEERING: AXIOS HACK**
A major example of social media fraud:
* **The Event:** An npm supply chain attack was carried out by performing **social engineering** on an **Axios maintainer** via **LinkedIn**.
* **The Impact:** This attack resulted in damage to the Axios code.
Stay alert! Do not share your personal or professional information with unknown individuals, especially on social media.
