What a privilege to welcome Sam Childers – The Machine Gun Preacher – to Kilkenny Community Church.

This week at Kilkenny Community Church, Sam Childers – The Machine Gun Preacher – shared the moment everything changed.

In the middle of a violent bar fight, with men being shot and stabbed around him, Sam looked at the door and made a promise:

“If I make it to that door… I’m done living this life.”

This is a powerful true story of redemption, change, and finding hope when life is at its darkest.

A really impactful short film shared at Kilkenny Community Church this week.

Well done to Riju Chanion Murali (actor) and Life (producer) on creating something so thoughtful and engaging. It’s clear there’s real talent there, and it was a blessing to have it shared with us.

The message was a strong reminder of how easily lies and temptations can creep in—but also of the importance of knowing God’s Word and standing firm in truth. “Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” James 4:7. A simple but powerful truth for everyday life.
