Prayer
We thank you Lord, for all that was good during the summer, For the love of our family and friends and for the sunshine and warm days. As we begin a new school year we ask for your help and pray for your blessing on everybody in this school. Show us how to work together for the good of all. May we share our talents and abilities to the full and grow in knowledge, wisdom and happiness. Give us the grace to become more like Jesus in the ways we think and behave. During this school year let us become builders of your ways and instruments of your peace. We ask this school year blessing through Jesus Christ, Our Lord. Amen

We congratulate all who received exam results in the past weeks. We will keep you all in our thoughts and prayers.

“I know God is real because I talk to Him every day.” — Dolly Parton

Today, the world lost Dolly Parton at the age of 80. (Reuters)

What a beautiful soul and what an incredible life.

Most people will remember the music, the unmistakable voice, Dollywood, the humor, and that sunny disposition that seemed to make everyone around her smile. But her legacy was so much bigger than entertainment.

She never forgot where she came from in Tennessee. Through her Imagination Library, she helped put millions upon millions of books into the hands of children. She gave generously to people in need, supported disaster relief and medical research, and used the success she had been given to bless others. (Reuters)

By so many accounts, she remained kind, gracious, funny, and deeply grateful throughout her life.

Today, we pray for her rather than simply remember her.

Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Lord, have mercy on her soul and welcome her into the reward You have prepared for those who love You.

Rest in peace, Dolly. 🙏
