First Saturday Cultural Forum - Cúirt an Chreidimh The First Saturday Cultural Forum organises exciting lectures in the Catholic Tradition in the heart of Dublin city on the first Saturday of every month.

Our meetings are held at the Central Catholic Library on Merrion Square.

Dr. Desmond Fennell is one of Ireland's great intellectuals, historian, Gaeilgeoir and Irish language enthusiast, and the next speaker at the Central Catholic Library on Merrion Square on August 5th at 6pm. Born in 1929, and publishing social commentary since the 1950s, "Ireland After the End of Western Civilisation" was one of his last books. The topic of his talk shall be his newly published autobiography.

The Central Catholic Library (74 Merrion Square South, Dublin 2) will be hosting the Pilgrim Statue of Our Lady of Fatima and the Holy Relics of the soon to be canonised Blessed Jacinta and Blessed Francisco Marto to the Library on Saturday 6th May.

The programme is as follows:

10:30 – Possibility for private prayer in the presence of the Pilgrim Statue and veneration of relics of Blessed Jacinta and Francisca.12:30 – Short talk for Children on Fatima.

12:40 – Recitation of Regina Coeli, Rosary and Consecration to Immaculate Heart of Mary

13:10 – Talk on the History of the Fatima Revelations. – Fr. Ailbe O’Reilly OCR
