🙏🙏Today marks the priests moving day throughout the diocese. Here in Killarney Parish we welcome Fr. Pat O’ Donnell as Administrator and Fr. Sean Murphy as curate. They join us from Rathmore and Kenmare respectively. We are sure the people of the parish will help them settle in well and give them a huge Killarney céad míle fáilte. We also continue to pray for Fr.

🙏🙏 On Saturday night at the 6.15 Mass in the Cathedral, the pews were at capacity as the parishoners came to celebrate Fr. Kieran in a Mass of Thanksgiving for his ministry.
Young and old participated, as well as members of Fr. Kieran’s family. It was a beautiful and emotional night, with a heartfelt homily and meaningful symbols of Fr. .Kierans’s life brought to the altar.
Here are two images of special moments captured . In the first, Fr. Kieran’s mom presented the stole she had put on him on his ordination day 33 years ago and the second was taken after all Fr. Kieran’s young ‘besties’ and cathedral cantors sang him a very special Irish blessing. Go n-éirí an bóthar leat Fr. Kieran🙏🙏

‼️‼️Time to put on the thinking caps! Have you a special memory, prayer or good wish you want to write to Fr. Kieran?! At all the entrances in the Cathedral over the coming week end, there will be little books and pens left for you to share a message to him if you wish!
These will be delivered to Fr. Kieran after a few days and I am sure he will love to read them all‼️‼️

🙏🙏 As Fr. Vitalis prepares to leave the parish in the coming week, there will be a Mass of Thanksgiving in the Church of the Resurrection at 11am on Sunday morning July 12th. We will pray for Fr. Vitalis and wish him luck in his next appointment. All are welcome. 🙏🙏

🙏🙏 At the 6.15pm Mass on Saturday next, 11th of July , everyone is invited to celebrate a Mass of Thanksgiving for Fr. Kieran before he takes up his new position as Parish Priest of Rathmore.

🙏🙏Tonight, we celebrated Mass in the Killarney Burial Ground. Families braved the weather to come and remember their loved ones. The Mass was lead by Fr. Vitalis, and concelebrated by Bishop Ray.
This annual Mass is one of the important annual Masses celebrated in each of our cemeteries.
May the souls of all our loved ones rest in peace 🙏🙏
