🌿 FREE FULL-TIME QQI LEVEL 4 HORTICULTURE COURSE🌿

Are you interested in gardening, plants and horticulture? 🌱

A free, full-time QQI Level 4 Horticulture Course will be running at the beautiful Walled Garden, Ardfoyle Convent, Ballintemple, Cork, from September 2026 to August 2027.

📚 Course Details:

🌿 QQI Level 4 Horticulture
📅 Full-time – 5 days per week
💶 Completely FREE – no course fees
🦺 All PPE and necessary gear provided
📍 The Walled Garden, Ardfoyle Convent, Ballintemple, Cork
📌 Eircode: T12 Y304

Larry has worked closely with the staff and volunteers at the Bible Garden for many years and has played a huge part in helping and advising us on which plants would be best suited to add to the garden. 🌿🌸

We have been fortunate to benefit from Larry’s knowledge, experience and love of horticulture over the years.

If you have an interest in gardening, plants or horticulture, we would highly recommend this wonderful course. It is a fantastic opportunity to gain new skills, learn from experienced people and achieve a recognised QQI qualification — and it is completely free! 🌱

A Message from St. Benedict’s Priory

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks and very best wishes to Fr. Tom McDermott as he takes up his new appointment as Parish Priest of Milford, having served as Administrator of Cobh.

We are deeply grateful for Fr. Tom’s priestly ministry and service to the people of Cobh. The Sisters of St. Benedict’s Priory are especially grateful for his friendship, support and pastoral care on many occasions during his time in Cobh. We will keep him in our prayers as he begins this new chapter in his ministry. May God bless him abundantly in his new role.

We also extend our warmest congratulations to Fr. Gerard Cremin, currently C.C. in Cobh, on his appointment as Administrator of Cobh. We wish him every blessing as he takes on this important role in the life of the parish.

We look forward to welcoming Fr. Tiernan Burke, currently serving as C.C. in Youghal pro-tem, as he joins the parish as C.C. in Cobh. We wish him every blessing in his ministry among us.

Please join us in keeping Fr. Tom, Fr. Gerard and Fr. Tiernan in our prayers as these appointments take effect from 12 noon on Saturday, 12 September

May God bless them all in their priestly ministry and service to our parish communities.

It’s so uplifting to see so many visitors enjoying our beautiful Bible Garden &Tearoom. 🌿💚

We’re open today from 10am–4pm, so why not pop in and have a look around?

It’s not just a tearoom! ☕✨ We’re full of little treasures, from eco-friendly cleaning products and piety items to gifts, cards and much more There’s something for everyone!
