The death has taken place of John (Seán Óg) Fitzgerald Main Street, Miltown Malbay, Co. Clare formerly of Tooreens, Glenmore, Waterville Co. Kerry on 21st May 2026 peacefully in the care of his family.

Beloved husband of Pauline (nee Curtin), sons Brian and Shane, Daughters-in-law Brittany and Michelle, grandson Daniel, brothers Pat (Killiney, Dublin), Myles and Eila (Howth, Dublin), sister Sheila and Noel Galwey (Bandon, Cork), sister-in-law Agnes (Kerry Pike, Cork) and their families, nieces, nephews, godchildren, his extended family, friends, and neighbours Miltown Malbay and South Kerry.

Predeceased by his parents Jack and Julia, brothers Michael, Maurice, sister Mary, Brother-in-law David Donegan (Dingle),Nancy (Killiney), Father and Mother-in-law Danny and Teresa Curtin (Miltown Malbay, Co. Clare).

May his kind and gentle soul rest in peace.

Reposing in St. Josephs Church Miltown Malbay from 5pm with prayers at 7pm on Monday. Funeral mass on Tuesday at 12 noon followed by burial in Ballard Cemetery. Mass can be viewed on

Miltown Malbay Parish is situated in the middle of the west coast of County Clare and includes the community of Moy.
