St. Valerie's Bray Enniskerry Partnership is delighted to join with Mermaid County Wicklow Arts Centre to host a screening of The Letter documentary followed by climate conversation, facilitated by Róisín Markham. Join us for an evening of film, conversation and connection on earth care, biodiversity and community action on 1 October at 8pm.
Róisín Markham will introduce The Letter, a documentary inspired by Pope Francis’s Laudato Si’, filmed by the Oscar‑winning team behind My Octopus Teacher. The film follows five frontline leaders whose voices are too often missing from discussions on ecological crisis, and explores the moral urgency of caring for our planet. Themes include ecology, the voices of communities most affected, dialogue and conversation, hope and agency.
After the screening, Róisín will facilitate a conversation that connects local people, community and faith groups in everyday action across Bray and Wicklow. All are welcome. If you’ve ever thought “I don’t know where to start”, come be inspired, meet others, share what matters, and imagine practical next steps for biodiversity, justice and a good life here.
