Exciting news: we have several classes coming up in the next few months!

Dating Class Series 🫶🏻
Am I ready to date? How do I apply biblical principles to dating? What should I look for in a potential spouse? These are just a few questions we’ll cover in the dating classes.

Everyone is welcome! These classes are not only for those who are single or dating, but also for those who are married and want to better counsel and encourage others in dating.

Marriage Class Series 💒
What does a God-honouring marriage look like? Join us as we learn what the Bible teaches about the purpose of marriage and how we can live it out - especially in a culture that often teaches us that marriage is ultimately meant to serve our own ambitions and happiness.

These classes are also open to everyone - including those who are not yet married. And if you’re already married, we hope you’ll join us as we continue learning how to invest in and strengthen our marriages.

Interested in becoming a member of our church? These classes are a prerequisite for membership and are designed to help you understand what biblical church membership looks like and consider whether to join our church or another Gospel-proclaiming church.

Throwback to July when we had our Women’s Gathering! 🤍

We gathered, we laughed, we shared, we created, and we prayed. Thank God for a community of women who can be silly together and still carry one another, and who are willing to love even when it’s hard.

Please pray for the women in our church - that we would be lifted up, that we would continue to grow in our love for Christ and for one another, and that we would boldly share His love with those around us. 🤍

For the past two months, we’ve been journeying through the book of Colossians, learning what it truly means to live a new life in Christ.

In today’s sermon, as we explored Colossians 2:6-15, we were reminded that our walk with Christ may look ordinary from the outside, but in reality, something extraordinary is happening. As Christians, we have received Christ Himself and now get to commune with Him.

As we continue this series, may we keep walking in Him - rooted, built up, and established in the faith (Colossians 2:6-7).

Two weeks ago, we gathered for our first Sunday as Harvest Baptist Church! 🥳

While our name has changed, our foundation and mission has not. We will continue to proclaim the Gospel, make disciples, and build one another up in love.

We thank God for His faithfulness thus far and look forward to what He will continue to do! 🤍

Last week, we began our sermon series on Genesis.

Genesis is where it all begins. It lays the foundations for understanding who God is, who we are, what sin is, why the world is broken, and how God is redeeming a people for Himself.

Without Genesis, we cannot fully understand the story of salvation in Christ.

This Sunday, our church will officially begin a new chapter as Harvest Baptist Church — the name our church members voted on together last year.

We’re thankful for all that God has faithfully done through HMCC of Jakarta over the past 10+ years, and excited for all that He will continue to do through Harvest Baptist Church in the years to come. 🤍

Baptism is not a man-made tradition, but an act of obedience, a response to the call of our Lord Jesus.

Matthew 28:19–20 says this:
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Yesterday, we witnessed a testimony of a life marked by repentance, and a desire to follow Christ and the beginning of a new life in Him.

Congratulations, Alni, on your baptism. Welcome to the body of Christ! 🤍
