This Sunday, our church will officially begin a new chapter as Harvest Baptist Church — the name our church members voted on together last year.

We’re thankful for all that God has faithfully done through HMCC of Jakarta over the past 10+ years, and excited for all that He will continue to do through Harvest Baptist Church in the years to come. 🤍

Baptism is not a man-made tradition, but an act of obedience, a response to the call of our Lord Jesus.

Matthew 28:19–20 says this:
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Yesterday, we witnessed a testimony of a life marked by repentance, and a desire to follow Christ and the beginning of a new life in Him.

Congratulations, Alni, on your baptism. Welcome to the body of Christ! 🤍

Our Simeon Trust First Principles Women’s Cohort is now underway!

Similar to the men’s cohort, these women will spend eight weeks learning how to carefully study and handle God’s Word together.

The Charles Simeon Trust is a ministry that trains Christians to be faithful Bible expositors.

Please be praying for these women as they grow in their love and understanding of Scripture!

Two weekends ago, we had the privilege of hosting Jamie Dunlop, Associate Pastor of Capitol Hill Baptist Church.

Across two seminars - Budgeting for a Healthy Church (held in partnership with and ) and The Compelling Community - we were challenged to think more deeply about what makes a church truly healthy.

We were reminded that:
- A church budget reflects our theology and priorities.
- A Gospel-shaped community transcends natural boundaries.
- Faithful giving flows from hearts transformed by Christ.

Grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow together, and thank you Jamie for your faithful serving and teaching!

This past Sunday, we began our new sermon series on the Book of Jonah - a story not just about a prophet who runs away, but ultimately about a God who never stops pursuing His people. Even in our detours, His mercy follows!
