🙏 **Please Pray for ESMI’s Annual Convention** 🇭🇹
After years of planting churches throughout Haiti, ESMI recognized the need for a unified denominational structure. In 2019, **Mission des Églises Réformées d’Haïti (MERH)—the Reformed Churches of Haiti—was established** as a nationally recognized denomination.
Since 2021, ESMI has hosted national conventions that bring churches from across Haiti together for theological training, pastoral fellowship, strategic planning, and a renewed vision for reaching the nation. The last convention, held in 2023, brought together **approximately 4,000 people**. Sadly, violence and unrest forced the cancellation of the 2024 and 2025 conventions.
**This year, we are praying that the convention can happen again.** The MERH executive team is preparing for the national convention **August 25–31**, and **this year it will be held on our campus in Lundi.**
Resources are limited and unrest continues, but the churches are longing for—and deeply need—this time of spiritual refreshment and fellowship.
Please join us in praying for:
🙏 **God’s protection** for everyone traveling to and attending the convention
🙏 **Provision** for all the needs of the convention
🙏 **Wisdom and strength** for the pastors and MERH leadership
🙏 **Spiritual renewal and encouragement** for the churches
🙏 **God’s peace and presence** throughout the entire week
After years of uncertainty, we are trusting God to make a way. **Please pray that this gathering will be a powerful time of worship, encouragement, unity, and renewed vision for the Reformed churches of Haiti.**
