教牧學博士班「聖經中的先知與今日的先知」ｘ聖經論壇「聆聽她的聲音：聖經中的女先知如何對今日的我們說話」

神召神學院將於2026年10月12日至16日早上9時至下午5時假本院舉辦教牧學博士班「聖經中的先知與今日的先知」。另外，莫禮智全球五旬宗研究中心亦將於2026年10月16日下午3時至5時舉辦聖經論壇「聆聽她的聲音：聖經中的女先知如何對今日的我們說話」。本院邀請到葛蕾潔教授（Rev. Prof. Jacqueline Grey, Ph.D.）擔任是次課程講師和公開講座講員。葛蕾潔教授現為澳洲阿爾法克魯斯大學學院聖經研究教授、該院澳大拉西亞五旬節派研究中心主任，曾任五旬節派研究學會會長。

On 2 July 2026, the Mok Lai Chi Centre for Pentecostal Studies (MLC Centre) successfully hosted the “Pentecostal Studies Forum” and the “Christian Studies Seminar” at Ecclesia Theological Seminary, Hong Kong. Both events sparked incredibly insightful discussions among scholars and participants. We were deeply honored to welcome a globally renowned scholar, Professor Mookgo Solomon Kgatle from the University of South Africa (Unisa), as our keynote speaker. Professor Kgatle spoke on “Pentecostalism, Social Development and Human Agency” at the Forum and “African Pentecostalism and Transformational Indigenisation in the Context of a Colonised Christianity” at the Seminar.

The response section followed both academic events. Dr. Sian-chin Iap, the Director of the MLC Centre and an Assistant Research Fellow at the Center for the Study of Chinese Religions, the Chengchi University, Taiwan, and Mr. Daniel Chow, a Research Fellow at the MLC Centre and a PhD Student at the University of Cambridge, UK, served as the respondents at the Pentecostal Studies Forum. At the Christian Studies Seminar, Dr. Christian Ng, the moderator, and Daniel served as the respondents to further the discussion on the theoretical framework of transformational indigenisation. Each section concluded with an open Q&A session from the floor.

We would like to thank Professor Kgatle for his remarkable, insightful, and constructive public lectures that significantly shed light on the Chinese Pentecostal contexts. We also give thanks to the respondents, Dr. Iap, Dr. Ng, and Daniel, as well as Mr. Stephen Hong, who provided the Chinese translation service, the co-workers, and all participants in the events. Finally, we would like to express our special gratitude to the Divinity School of Chung Chi College, CUHK, and the Institute of Sino-Christian Studies for their kind assistance in connecting us with Professor Kgatle.

[會後報告]

本中心兩位研究員戴觀豪和吳振南，於加拿大時間5月26至28日參與了在溫哥華神學院（Vancouver School of Theology）舉辦的「Walking Together: Sharing the Work and Ideas That Call to Us」學術研討會，並分別以實體及線上形式發表研究成果。戴氏的〈離散華人五旬節信徒︰加拿大粵語移民教會溫哥華五旬節堂個案研究〉（Chinese Pentecostals in Diaspora: The Pentecostal Tabernacle Vancouver as a Cantonese-Speaking Immigrant Church in Canada）發表追溯港九五旬節會溫哥華支堂的發展歷程，探討該堂如何在加拿大語言文化環境中持守並傳承教會傳統。吳氏的〈探尋教會平等主義：五旬節神學與儒家哲學的建設性暨批判性對話〉（In Search of Ecclesial Egalitarianism: Pentecostal Theology in a Constructive and Critical Dialogue with Confucian Philosophy）發表則探討完備福音五旬節神學與社會儒家哲學之間的對話。研討會期間，現場及線上學者交流氣氛熱烈。兩位研究員亦藉此機會與海內外同仁進行了深入的學術探討。本中心將繼續致力推動相關領域的研究與學術對話。

昨晚本中心「聖經論壇」順利舉行，並完滿結束。是次講座由本中心研究員柳國豪主講，由研究員戴觀豪擔任主持。柳牧師以「『耶和華的靈遮蓋在基甸身上』：再思士師記六章34節的臨在意象」為題，帶領大家重新思想士師記中上帝的靈臨在的豐富意象。是次講座以氣氛良好，反應熱烈，講員的分享和參與者的提問深入且富啟發性。很感恩，是次活動有超過50位弟兄姊妹線上參與，當中包括來自本地、英國、台灣及加拿大不同教會的肢體。講座後，本中心的主任葉先秦博士及一眾研究員在線上短暫相聚，恭賀柳牧師的講座順利完成。

是次「聖經論壇」是本中心第一次以線上形式進行的講座，感謝柳國豪牧師精彩的分享、擔任主持的戴觀豪，以及每一位抽時間出席的參與者。特別感謝竹園區神召會竹園堂和神召會迦勒堂的牧者和肢體以團體形式參與是次講座。盼望透過這次聖經論壇，大家對舊約聖經中的士師記有更深的體會和亮光。願這次講座的分享，不僅祝福香港的教會群體，也能繼續祝福每一位線上參與的弟兄姊妹。

Last night, the MLC Centre’s “Biblical Forum” was successfully held and concluded. This biblical lecture was delivered by our research fellow, Rev. Nelson Kwok-Ho Lau, and moderated by research fellow, David Kwun-Ho Tai. Rev. Lau spoke on the topic “‘The Spirit of the Lord Covered Gideon’: Rethinking the Presence Imagery of Judges 6:34,” leading participants to re-explore the rich imagery of the Spirit of God’s presence in the Book of Judges. The atmosphere of the lecture was warm and engaging, with enthusiastic responses. Both the speaker’s sharing and the participants’ questions were insightful and thought-provoking. We are truly thankful that more than 50 brothers and sisters in Christ joined us online, including participants from local churches as well as from the UK, Taiwan, and Canada. After the lecture, our Centre Director, Dr. Iap Sian-Chin, together with other research fellows, had a short online gathering to congratulate Rev. Lau on the successful completion of the forum.

This Biblical Forum was the Centre’s first lecture held in an online format. We give thanks to Rev. Nelson Lau for his insightful sharing, to David Tai for serving as the moderator, and to every participant who took the time to join us. We give special thanks to the pastoral leaders and congregants of Pentecostal Church of Hong Kong Chuk Yuen Church and Assembly of God Caleb Church for participating in this lecture as groups. We hope that through this biblical lecture, everyone has gained a deeper understanding and fresh insights into the Book of Judges in the Old Testament. May the sharing from this lecture continue to be a blessing not only to the church community in Hong Kong, but also to all brothers and sisters who participated online.
