緣起 正當香港教會及社會開始回應九七帶來的改變時，一群願以實際行動關注香港的神父、修女、教友於一九八五年開始籌劃設立一個專注培育和研究的中心，準備新一代迎向未來。
本中心於一九八六年七月十八日正式註冊成為有限公司，並於十二月四日獲准成為非牟利慈善團體。同年八月十五日， 中心已正式開展工作，舉辦各項培訓和研究活動。
