The Living Rosary: “One Devotion, One Mission”

The living rosary is rich and powerful
A prayer that unites the faithful
Each decade of roses is beautiful
Truly God's grace is bountiful.

O how amazing to pray the rosary
A crown of roses for the Virgin Mary
Day and night let us pray
In darkness do not go astray.

With Jesus on the Cross the sin is dispel
By praying the rosary, demon will expel
Eternal life is a grace to marvel
To Jesus through Mary in the gospel.

Open our hearts with one devotion
Let us walk together with one mission
With Mary's prayer for conversion
Peace and harmony to a nation.

The IHMS students, around 600 of them and other teachers, came to visit our Convent on 20 and 27 September. During the visit, a Sister welcomed the students; Recited the Adoration Prayer upon entering the chapel taught by Saint Francis of Assisi; Introduced the Sisters’ lives by watching a short video; Prayed the Our Father and Offering their Prayer Request or Petition Cards before the Holy Altar while singing a song before the icon of Our Immaculate Heart of Mary which was in front of the Holy Altar. The other students then gathered at the Big Parlour where Sr. Lucy, Sr. Mary, Sr. M. Corazon and Sr. M. Clare entertained them as well as shared with them more informations about the Sisters’ daily activities living in the Convent.
Sr. Lucy also imparted to our primary school students about the life story of our future Saint, Blessed Fr. Gabrielle Allegra, OFM, who used to visit the Sisters here at the Convent and gave the Spiritual Teachings or Retreats. The students and some teachers had a glimpse on the remaining Relics of Fr. Allegra in our Small Parlour. It was a great experience for both the students and teachers to know more about the lives of our OSF Sisters. In addition, they were so happy to receive our homemade cookies as our gifts and they also shared to other teachers back to school.

A Grateful Heart

"Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." (1 Thessalonians 5:18)

O Lord our God how majestic is your name
May the fire in my heart aflame
That I may walk in righteousness not a lame
To proclaim your Name without shame.

Thanks for healing me to give You glory
I fight a good fight against my adversary
To strongly defeat the power of the enemy
For I have all the holy angel's company.

On my own strength I am nothing
But with You I have everything
You are my Maker and Creator of everything
For Your love is unconditional and everlasting.

With a grateful heart I will do Your divine will
With the gifts of knowledge, wisdom and skill
To spread out the spirit of goodwill
That love, peace and joy to fulfill.
