Our first Reformation Gambia Conference 2025 took place today on the subject of Sola Scriptura (Scripture Alone). Pastor Edrissa Colley started us with a presentation of the fight for Sola Scriptura in church history beginning at the pre-reformation and reformation era, then pastor Sylvester Konteh delved into Sola Scriptura from the Scriptures focusing on 2 Timothy 3. And ending with pastor Ernest Jassey presenting on the keys of bible interpretation.
We also had a wonderful question and answer session.

At the end of the conference, each attendee received 4 Reformed books, which we hope and pray would be blessed by the Lord to them.

God willing, we hope to host more conferences in the near future.

Reformation Gambia exists to promote and encourage Biblical Reformation in Gambian churches. We would very much value your prayers.

Yesterday at the Pastors Fellowship, we began watching a new series on "Gospel Worship" by Romesh Prakashpalan, who is ministering in Virginia, America.

This lecture was entitled, "sanctify the Lord in worship" from Leviticus 10:3 about the gravity of worship.

Afterwards, we had a lengthy discussion about the challenges we face in Gambian churches, where worship is based around the whims of men, rather than directed by the Word of God.

In addition, we watched a short Q&A by Dr Alan Cairns entitled, "the best way to study the Bible." We also sung from Psalm 9:7-11.

If you are a Pastor in Gambia and you are interested in joining our monthly fellowship, please get in touch. We would be glad to hear from you.

The Pastors Fellowship met last night at the Timothy House in Lamin. We watched the first in a series on Caleb by Rev Gavin Beers. An interesting discussion followed relating to standing for the Lord and encouraging others to stand, particularly when we are in the minority and when it costs us to stand.

We also watched a short Q&A by Dr Alan Cairns entitled, "Our response to the current economic crisis." Whilst, in context, the question was dealt with by Dr Cairns following the 2007-2008 Global Economic Crisis, the principles of the issues relate to us today. We discussed matters of debt, the role of the church where people are struggling financially and the neglected question of Christians personal finances.

If you are a pastor here in The Gambia and you would like to learn more about the reformed faith, please get in touch with us.
