"Woe to you, O human! How can you not fear that Day when Allah will testify against you, and the angels will testify against you, and your limbs will testify against you, and the earth will testify against you. SubhanAllah, how hard is your heart, O human! How do you dare commit sins against Allah, especially when you are alone with them — while Allah sees you and hears you and will testify against you. And your limbs will testify against you before Allah, and the earth will testify against you, and the noble recording angels write down what you do and what you say, and they will testify against you. How hard are the hearts." # #

"Be mindful of Allah and He will protect you. Be mindful of Allah and you will find Him before you. If you ask, ask Allah. If you seek help, seek help from Allah. And know that if the entire nation were to gather together to benefit you, they would not benefit you except with something that Allah has already written for you. And if they were to gather together to harm you, they would not harm you except with something that Allah has already written against you. The pens have been lifted and the pages have dried."*

This is a famous hadith from the Prophet ﷺ, advising Ibn Abbas. It’s about _tawakkul_ — trusting Allah, keeping His commands, and understanding that all benefit and harm are by His decree.
