POWER IN WEAKNESS - Lady Rev. Sheila Eshun

True power is the capacity, ability and authority to act and cause a change in a situation. Yet, perfect power is revealed in weakness. There is a level of power that comes through submission. Weakness is not always the absence of strength. Sometimes, it is choosing to come down and submit.

“For My strength is made perfect in weakness.” — 2 Corinthians 12:9

You know you are walking in perfect power when you do these things:

• Stop depending on the constant approval of people.
Lose your appetite for the approval of men. You are a person of power when you can stand by the truth.

• Stop keeping offences and scores.
Learn to let go of what people have done to you.

• Learn to help and serve people without asking, “What is in it for me?”
There is perfect power in knowing how to help and serve others.

• Come to a place where you can admit you are wrong and apologise when necessary.
Be slow to judge or condemn people. Learn to see people and give them grace.

• Stay in control when you walk in power.
Control your mind, control your money, control your heart and control your mouth. Do not allow these things to control you.

Scripture References: 2 Corinthians 12:9; 1 Peter 3:7.
