MORE THAN CONQUERORS MISSION GROUP. DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE
21ST FEBRUARY 2026. THEME; POWER TO WORK THE WORKS. VL CHARLOTTE
TOPIC; POWER TO WORK THE WORKS
You are my God; teach me to do your will, for you are my God. Your Spirit is good; lead me on level ground. Psalms 143:10 (NIV)
Imagine you're invited to preach at a big outreach event in one of the communities. You will feel a mix of excitement and nerves. You will plan, pray and prepare yourself very well but when it's a go-time. Maybe you will be thinking and asking yourself questions you know no one will answer not even you , "Can I really do this? Do I have what it takes?" These thoughts can be overwhelming, but here's where God's power kicks in.
Psalms 143:10 is a powerful reminder that we don't rely on our own strength; we ask God for the power to do His will. When we tap into God's power, we can work wonders. Psalms 28:7(NIV) says, "The Lord is my strength and my shield." This verse shows us that God is our source of strength, protection, and courage.
John 14:12 (NIV) reminds us, Whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these. Jesus is saying that with Him, we can do impactful works that bring glory to God.
Philippians 4:13(NIV) says, "I can do all this through him who gives me strength." This verse emphasizes that our ability comes from God, not ourselves.
REFLECTION
1. Identify an area in your life where you need God's power to work through you (maybe it's a project, relationship, or challenge).
2. Ask yourself, what steps can I take to tap into God's strength today?
3. Consider sharing your need with a friend or mentor and asking for prayer support.
PRAYER
Lord, You are my God and my steadfast love. Give me strength to do your will, I trust in your power, not mine. Help me tap into your might to work wonders and do greater things. Guide me, empower me, and use me for your glory. In Jesus' name, AMEN. 🙏🏼🙏🏼
DECLARATION
I have the power to work God's works because He gives me strength. I trust in God's might, not my own, and I'll do greater things.
