*Today's Word*
Sun. 16th August, 2020
*Grateful living -- live as children of the Most High*
Eph 4 (NKJV)
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
¹⁷ This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind,
¹⁸ having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart;
¹⁹ who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.

Here we can see the Lord instructing us not to live as other people do. Wow, what a Fatherly instruction. Note that this instruction is to believers, not unbelievers. Also there is no consequence of hell or sickness attached.

Another thing is that this instruction is given after men are saved, not the other way round. In *John 8,* Jesus first of all saved the woman before saying go and sin no more. Today some folks will say sin no more and you will be saved. Or you stop living like the unbelievers and you will be saved. * church #*

Now, for the Lord to give such an instruction means it's possible to live as children of God. It's possible to live perfect as our Father in heaven is perfect. *Matthew 5:48.* The word perfect there in the Amplified Version means _to grow into spiritual maturity both in mind and character, actively integrating godly values into your daily life._

So then, how do we live as children of God and not like others. He talk about the futility of the mind. This means it has to do with the renewing of the mind *Romans 12:2.* Again, this I say the renewing of the mind is not only done by studying of the word only. You need to constantly practice what you study. Every discovery about who you are in Christ must be practiced. By so doing you are training yourself to be perfect as your Father in heaven is *perfect in action.* Amen.

*Benefits of Redemption- I was raised and made to sit together with Christ*
“and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,”
— Eph 2:6 (NKJV)

I pray that the eyes of our understanding will be flooded with light that we may know these truths in-depth. Many of us know it only in the mind which is good. But until it gets into the heart, it doesn't produce much. In times of challenges, these truths give you weight to remain standing. Hallelujah!!!

Many believers are still battling with the devil, bad dreams and so on and so forth. However, the word has already settled that issue. The Lord says, we were raised together with Christ and seated together with Him.

In the *Chapter 1* of the same book verses *20* and *21* , we see that not only was Jesus raised and made to sit down, but he was seated *FAR ABOVE* ... If our opening text is saying that we were raised and made to sit together with Him, it shows our level of authority.

Beloved, we are sitting *FAR ABOVE* the operations of darkness. Not only that, we also have authority over them and their works. That's why you shouldn't be having those dreams with a demon chasing you with a shovel. Even if you are fed with food in a dream, you wake up and thank God for filling your mouth with some words of power. But because we are taught wrong, we wake up with fear and start cursing the devil. Mercy.

The devil is not a factor in your life - if you can understand this. He exists alright but he is defeated and paralyzed by you in Christ. *Col 2:15* . He remembers what we did to him in his own domain. He is afraid of you if you know this. If you don't know this, you will be afraid of him. Beloved, let us with this discovery put the domain of darkness where it belongs in our lives.
