RECAP OF YESTERDAY’s MEETING

Theme: Saul defeats the Ammonites.
Bible reading: 1 Samuel 11: 1-11
[x] Fear takes our attention off God: These people were Israelites and they’ve seen the work of the Lord in their lives yet still, when they were surrounded by the Ammonites, they forgot to go to God
[x] Fear leads us to an easy alternative: Christians nowadays look for very easy alternatives so that their lives may look simple for them
[x] An easy alternative, leads to destruction
[x] The spirit of the Lord came on Saul not just because he is a leader but because he was not defeated in his mind

Theme: Serve as a Soldier of Christ

Question: As soldiers of Christ, are we being effective in the discharge of our duties?
In 2 Timothy 4: 7, Paul was talking to Timothy through this epistle and he said "I have fought the good fight...". That was a very bold statement, but he had the conviction because he knew that he diligently executed his divine mandate.

So today I ask, if we are to meet God, can we boldly tell Him that we have fought a good fight? Just think about it.

We continue tomorrow. However, We look forward to seeing you this evening as we raise our voices to God in prayer.
