OFFICERS APPRECIATION DAY

SPEAKER: BROTHER FRANK YEBOAH

TOPIC:

HONOURING THE LORD’S SERVANTS WHO LABOUR AMONG US

SCRIPTURES:
📖 1 Thessalonians 5:12–13
📖 1 Timothy 5:17
📖 Hebrews 6:10

---

INTRODUCTION

The work of God in the local church requires faithful men and women who willingly give their time, strength, gifts and resources to serve the Lord and His people.

Officers and leaders often work behind the scenes, carrying responsibilities, supporting ministries, caring for members and helping to advance the mission of the church.

Officers Appreciation Day provides an opportunity for the church to recognize, encourage and honour those who faithfully labour in the service of God.

The Bible teaches us not to take faithful service for granted, but to appreciate and respect those who labour among us.

---

KEY POINTS

1. RECOGNIZE THOSE WHO FAITHFULLY LABOUR

1 Thessalonians 5:12

Paul encourages believers to recognize those who labour among them and are responsible for their spiritual well-being.

Key lesson:
Faithful service may not always be seen by everyone, but God sees every sacrifice made for His work.

---

2. SHOW RESPECT AND APPRECIATION TO GOD’S SERVANTS

1 Thessalonians 5:13

The church is encouraged to esteem those who serve because of the work they do.

Appreciation should not only be expressed through words but also through our attitudes, cooperation and support.

Key lesson:
Honouring God's servants is one way of showing gratitude for their commitment to God's work.

---

3. THOSE WHO LEAD AND SERVE DESERVE HONOUR

1 Timothy 5:17

Scripture teaches that those who lead well, especially those who labour faithfully in teaching and ministry, should be regarded with honour.

Key lesson:
Leadership in God's house is a responsibility that requires commitment, sacrifice and faithfulness.

---

4. GOD SEES EVERY LABOUR DONE FOR HIM

Hebrews 6:10

God does not forget the work and love demonstrated by His people in serving Him and His church.

There may be times when human beings fail to notice our efforts, but God never overlooks faithful service.

Key lesson:
Continue serving faithfully because God remembers your labour.

---

5. SERVING GOD REQUIRES SACRIFICE

Faithful officers often sacrifice their time, comfort, energy and personal resources to support the work of God.

Their service may include:

- Supporting church programmes
- Caring for members
- Leading ministries
- Organizing activities
- Visiting and encouraging people
- Supporting worship services
- Teaching and mentoring
- Praying for the church
- Working behind the scenes

Key lesson:
Every act of service contributes to the growth and strength of the church.

---

6. APPRECIATION ENCOURAGES FAITHFULNESS

A word of encouragement can strengthen someone who has become tired or discouraged.

As a church, we should learn to say:

“Thank you for serving.”
“We appreciate your sacrifice.”
“May God strengthen you.”

Key lesson:
Appreciation creates encouragement and motivates people to continue serving faithfully.

---

7. HONOUR GOD THROUGH YOUR SERVICE

The ultimate purpose of Christian service is not personal recognition but the glory of God.

Whether the service is done publicly or privately, everything should be done with a heart that seeks to please the Lord.

Key lesson:
Serve faithfully, humbly and wholeheartedly because you are ultimately serving the Lord.

---

CONCLUSION

Officers Appreciation Day reminds us that the work of the church is a shared responsibility.

Let us recognize, respect, encourage and support those who labour among us. Let us also be willing to make ourselves available for God's work.

May the Lord strengthen every officer and servant who continues to labour faithfully in His vineyard.

May God reward every sacrifice, every prayer, every act of service and every effort made for the advancement of His Kingdom.

“Your labour in the Lord is never in vain.”

🎉 CLIMAX OF CHILDREN’S WEEK CELEBRATION 2026 PICTURES

The Climax of Children’s Week Celebration was a joyful and memorable occasion dedicated to celebrating children, encouraging their spiritual growth, and giving them the opportunity to actively participate in the worship and activities of the church.

❤️ Purpose of the Celebration

The celebration was aimed at:

1. Encouraging children to develop a strong relationship with God.

2. Giving children an opportunity to use their gifts and talents in the service of God.

3. Strengthening the bond between children, parents, teachers, and the entire church family.

4. Teaching children Christian values and godly principles.

5. Creating a joyful environment where children can worship, learn, and fellowship together.

🎊 A Celebration of Our Children

The climax was not only a time of entertainment but also a spiritual investment in the next generation. Through songs, prayers, Bible studies, drama, choreography, recitations, and the preaching of God’s Word, the children were reminded that they are an important part of the Church today and tomorrow.

May God continue to bless, protect, guide, and equip all our children to grow in faith and become responsible vessels for His Kingdom.

RIGHTEOUSNESS AND HOLINESS – A CALL TO A SEPARATED LIFE

Main Texts: 1 Peter 1:15–16, Matthew 5:6, Hebrews 12:14

The sermon teaches that righteousness and holiness are essential aspects of the Christian life. Righteousness is received through faith in Jesus Christ, while holiness is the daily decision to live a life that is pleasing and dedicated to God.

1. RIGHTEOUSNESS – MADE RIGHT WITH GOD

Righteousness is a gift from God, not something we can earn through our own works. Through Jesus Christ, our sins are forgiven and we receive right standing with God.

2 Corinthians 5:21 teaches that Christ took our sin so that we could become righteous in Him.

Righteousness is also a lifestyle—believers must hunger and thirst to do what is right.

It should be demonstrated through honesty, integrity, purity, and godly conduct.

Key question: What is right?

2. HOLINESS – SET APART FOR GOD

Holiness means being separated and dedicated to God. God calls believers to be different from the world in their values, speech, priorities, thoughts, and actions.

1 Peter 1:15–16: “Be holy, for I am holy.”

Holiness involves purity and living in a way that pleases God.

It should affect every area of our lives, including relationships, entertainment, finances, and personal decisions.

Key question: What is pleasing to God?

3. RIGHTEOUSNESS AND HOLINESS MUST WORK TOGETHER

Ephesians 4:24 calls believers to live in “true righteousness and holiness.”

Righteousness without holiness can become empty religion—knowing the right things while secretly living in sin.

Holiness without righteousness can lead to discouragement and burnout when we try to earn God's love through our own efforts.

We need both: our identity in Christ and our daily lifestyle.

Formula:
Position + Practice = Christian Living
Identity + Lifestyle = Transformation

HOW DO WE LIVE IN RIGHTEOUSNESS AND HOLINESS?

1. ABIDE – Stay in God's Word
God's Word cleanses and guides us. (John 15:3)

2. YIELD – Walk in the Spirit
We overcome the desires of the flesh by depending on the Holy Spirit. (Galatians 5:16)

3. ACCOUNTABILITY – Live in Community
Fellow believers can encourage and help us remain faithful. (Hebrews 10:24)

CONCLUSION

God is not demanding instant perfection. He is calling us to continually turn our hearts toward Him and grow in obedience.

If you have never received Christ, receive His righteousness through faith.

If you are a believer living in compromise, repent and return to a life of holiness.

Leviticus 20:7: “Consecrate yourselves, therefore, and be holy.”

KEY MESSAGE

God wants a people who are both righteous and set apart—people whose lives reflect His character to the world.

🌟 EXCERPTS FROM TODAY’S GOSPEL SUNDAY SERVICE 🌟

📖 THE CHURCH OF PENTECOST
C25 Estate District – Golf Estate Assembly

🎤 Speaker: Dcns. Janet Febiri-Yeboah
📌 Topic: Surrender Yourself to Christ Fully

📖 Scripture Readings:
• Romans 12:1–2
• Luke 9:18–23

🔥 HIGHLIGHT OF THE MESSAGE

One of the greatest decisions a person can ever make is to surrender completely to Christ.

True surrender to Christ goes beyond simply attending church. It means giving Him our hearts, our plans, our choices, our time, our gifts, and our entire lives.

As believers, we are called to allow Christ to take full control of our lives and transform us according to His will. Romans 12:1–2 reminds us not to conform to the patterns of this world, but to allow God to renew our minds.

Jesus also made it clear in Luke 9:23 that anyone who wants to follow Him must deny themselves, take up their cross daily, and follow Him.

🙏 KEY LESSONS

🔹 Surrender means giving Christ first place in our lives.

🔹 Following Jesus requires commitment and self-denial.

🔹 Our lives should reflect the transformation that comes through Christ.

🔹 We must be willing to submit our plans and desires to God's will.

🔹 A fully surrendered life becomes a vessel through which God can work.

❤️ A CALL TO TOTAL SURRENDER

Today’s message is a reminder that Christianity is not only about what we say with our lips, but also about how completely we submit our lives to Christ.

Let us examine ourselves and ask:

“Have I truly surrendered my life to Christ?”

May we move beyond partial commitment and give ourselves fully to Jesus Christ, allowing Him to lead, transform, and use us for His glory.

🙏 Lord Jesus, help us to surrender ourselves completely to You and live according to Your perfect will. Amen.
