Topic: God Is The Strength Of Your Heart!
Text: Psalm 73: 23b - 26

23b You hold me by my right hand. 24 You guide me with Your counsel, and afterward You will take me into glory.

25 Whom have I in heaven but You? And earth has nothing I desire besides You. 26 My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Amen

Life, they have said, is unfair. And yes, its many discrepancies make it easy to agree to that. It has many ups and downs, joys and sorrows, even for the most peaceful and innocent one.

However, for those who know our God, they simply wax strong and do exploits (Daniel 11: 32). God holds them by their right hand and guides them through life's journey into glory.

When the journey becomes exhausting and unbearable, such that their flesh and our heart begin to fail, GOD MAINTAINS AS THE STRENGTH OF THEIR HEARTS AND THEIR PORTION FOREVER.

Therefore, beloved, don't be easily overwhelmed by life like you usually did some time back. That one gives the impression that you have forgotten in whom you have believed.

God's plan for your life is not to overwhelm you till you waste away. He is the rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. He keeps His word. He sees us through every trial. He will continue to all our journeys, help us.

Begin to pray therefore. "Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass" (Psalm 37: 5).

Topic: Caring Lord
Text: Mark 6: 31b

“Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.” Amen

"Does the Lord care about the tiny details of our lives?" a young man asked a Preacher. "He does," replied the preacher. " And with every detail tiny or major," the preacher continue.

Beloved, the preacher is right. The Lord cares about everything concerning us. He cares how we handle ourselves, each other, things, and situations. He cares if we care about Him and care about the things He cares about. He cares if we do not care about Him and cares if we know what that implies.

He cares if we are doing the right, eating right and exercising. He also cares if we are over working, over indulging, over acting and over thinking things. Yes! He truly cares about these and cares if we care about them too. And did you know the Lord cares if we are RESTING WELL AND ENOUGH? In fact, let's talk a bit more about that:

When Jesus' hometown, by familiarity wouldn't allow Him minister to them, He was amazed at their lack of faith and went around teaching from village to village. Calling the Twelve to Him, He began to send them out two by two and gave them authority over impure spirits (Mark 6: 7)

Upon their returned, "The apostles gathered around Jesus and reported to Him all they had done and taught. 31 Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, He said to them, “Come with Me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.” 32 So they went away by themselves in a boat to a solitary place. (Mark 6: 30- 32).

Beloved, today is the Lord’s day- are you going to REST after service? Will you make time to relax, rewind, rewire, and recharge before another working week begins? Think about it. When the apostles brought their report for a good work done, they didn't receive a pat on their shoulders. Instead, the Lord zoomed straight to CARE, making sure they are rested enough.

You are that important to God, Precious One. You and all around you. Begin to pray therefore. Thank God for caring so much about everything concerning you. Now ask for the discipline to organise yourself so well so you can have time to rest. Recharging is so important for meditation and reflections; for health and for efficiency as well. Let's meet at church and find rest in His presence.

Topic: On This Word You Shall Meditate, Day And Night
Text: Psalm 104: 34

34 May my meditation be pleasing to Him, as I rejoice in the Lord." Amen

Believers are encouraged all through Scripture to meditate on the Word day and night, so we are careful to do everything written in it. Then we will be prosperous and successful (Joshua 1: 8). The question however is, what does it mean to meditate?

Simply put, to meditate is to engage in thought or contemplation; to reflect. Christian meditation is a form of prayer in which a structured attempt is made to become aware of and reflect upon the revelations of God through His word. The steps here to follow, are also quite simple:

Firstly, it starts with a conscious decision to want to meditate or reflect about or on God, His being, works and ways. The aim must be for deeper knowledge, revelation and understanding. The kind that brings us closer to Him and makes us take after Him.

Secondly, we go to a place of silence where there will be zero interference. Then, we take time to be silent ourselves. Calming ourselves down from all the noise within, and preparing to communicate with God as He expresses Himself to us in the passage of Scripture we have chosen to reflect on. After a period of quietness, we can now ask the Holy Spirit to help us with clarity as we are about to read.

The next step will then be to read a short passage of Scripture or devotional over and over. Several times quietly, calmly and slowly. And later aloud to ourselves. The hope is to allow its words and meanings to sink into our soul.

The fourth step is to meditate on, or dissect, what has just been read. Beloved, meditation is like chewing. It is slow and thorough. You may write notes about what you see in this passage or devotional. Make connections between the various sections. Ask yourself, “What do these words from God say?” “What do they mean?” Place who you are and what you do next to this passage and ask God to examine you.

The next thing to do is contemplation or reflections. Wait in stillness once more. Ask that God brings to your mind, any areas of your life that you need to shape more closely to His design as revealed in this passage. Contemplate God’s love and power as it is revealed in the passage too.

You then pray. Yes, you ask the Holy Spirit to help you live out this word revealed. Pray using the passage as an outline. Read the passage phrase-by-phrase, reject from your life everything the word abhors, claim or receive into your spirit everything the word says God wills for you, make declarations in faith, and celebrate the victory or knowledge gained with thanksgiving in your heart.

Finally, you map out the 'hows', that is, how you are going to live out this word. Yes, the very practical things to do in order to align with this word. It has to be intentional. Like, what precisely ought you to be believing, thinking, and doing as a result of this passage? Once the road map is determined, you go and live It out. Teaching others too.

Now you know how to meditate, right? Meditate on this word and begin to pray. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you make prayer and meditation a habit. Tell Him you want your delight to be in His law and on it you will meditate day and night. It will make you become, "... like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers." (Psalm 1: 3).

Now the benediction: Let the words of our mouth and the meditation of our heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, our rock and our redeemer. Amen

Topic: Keep Praying: You Won't Be Put Off Forever
Text: Luke 18:7

“...Will not God bring about justice for His chosen ones, who cry out to Him day and night? Will He keep putting them off?” Amen

One day, Jesus told His disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. He said: “In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared what people thought.

There was a widow in that same town who kept coming to him with the plea, ‘Grant me justice against my adversary.’ For some time, he refused. But finally he said to himself, ‘Even though I don’t fear God or care what people think, yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won’t eventually come and attack me!’

And the Lord said, ‘Listen to what the unjust judge says, and will not God bring about justice for His chosen ones, who cry out to Him day and night? Will He keep putting them off? I tell you, He will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?’” (Luke 18:1-8)

Precious One, from the text, you can see that our prayers will not always be answered on the spot. Sometimes, they may be, but the manifestation can be delayed (as in the case of Daniel). There are also times when we may have to keep at it, day and night, until God grants us the justice we plead for — and quickly too.

This is not to encourage repetitive prayers that have no basis in the Word of God, or praying for material things that are already ours if we will seek first God’s kingdom and His righteousness. Rather, this has everything to do with asking for mercy and justice against the enemy, especially when he tries to trample on your right as a child of God — stealing, killing, and destroying your purpose or the very blessing God bestowed upon you.

Until now, you may not have known the need to keep praying without ceasing. But now you do. Even the unjust judge granted the request of the persistent widow — how much more will our Living and Just Father do? Will He not grant our request, and quickly too, so that our joy may be complete?

Begin to pray therefore. Go on and petition God about all the unsolved issues going on in your life right now: the conflict that steals your joy at home; the poverty that makes others question your faith; the promotion that is denied you; the cycle of promise and failure; the business that is going bad; the sweetness in the relationship turning sour lately; the recent waywardness of the children and the fears of tomorrow. Bring them all to Jesus!

Don’t just pray about these things day and night, but believe that God will bring you justice according to His mercies — and He will never fail you. Do not grow weary in prayer — God has a rescue plan on the way for you. Just keep pushing. It isn’t over until God says so!

Topic: Faithful To His Word!
Text: Isaiah 46:10- 11b

10 I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.’ 11b What I have said, that I will bring about; what I have planned, that I will do. Amen

One of the surest and most dependable revelations on earth is to know THIS ONE GOD WHO IS (and will always be) FAITHFUL TO HIS WORD. Whatever He says, is exactly what He will do. Outside HIS WORD, HE DOES ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

With the greatest power in the universe vested in His word, one would have thought it will be the most difficult treasure to access, but it's not.

Even scientists have secrets. They sometimes keep away from "the many", great formula and experiments that have the potential of producing results whose uncertain effects can have global impact in a matter of seconds. Also, occults and witches have secret books in which they hide certain "powerful" and "dangerous" spells away from the masses to be kept as the private properties of a few who desire "absolute power".

However, the Word of God, being the greatest and most important source of life and power to all who will only believe, is still the most accessible. The love of God makes this so. God's wordrecorded in the Bible, printed in Christian tracts and literature, preached on radio, TV, social media, streets, chapel, offices and everywhere. So that all mankind will know what the will of God is and pursue it. That remains the only way we can live fulfilled lives, have dominion over all things, resist the devil, destroy his evil works against us, and attain eternity with Christ.

The greatest question however is: will mankind love God's Word and live by it, so as to receive all the blessings and promises therein? The answer is A BIG NO! We can hardly make time for it. We are too busy worrying about life and satan than to tap from the Word of God, the strength and wisdom needed to carry through. We fail to see the privilege God has given us by making His Word accessible and easy to live by.

It is salvation to the sinner, peace for the troubled mind, healing to sick, strength to the weary, power to the weak, protection for the vulnerable, food for the hungry soul, water to the dry and thirsty throat, deliverance to the bound, liberty to the prisoner, joy to the mounful, righteousness to the repented sinner and life to the dying.

More powerful than any scientific discovery or demonic spell. Yet theirs is wrapped in secrecy and God's word, available to whosoever believes. Kindly meditate on this word and begin to pray. Ask the Holy Spirit to implant in you divine cravings for the Word of God. That you will never feel at peace with yourself until you have fed your hungry soul with THE WORD, EVERYDAY.

And always remember that, this all knowing God is also the Alpha and Omega. He declares the end from beginning and makes known from ancient times, what is STILL to come. His word will never change and the promises attached to them, will never fail. Hold dearly to it and activate it by faith. IT IS YOUR LIFE!

Topic : His Favour Is For Life!
Text : Psalm 30: 5

"For His anger is but for a moment, HIS FAVOUR IS FOR LIFE; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning." Amen.

People promote awareness of all kinds of things in this world, but one of the most important things you should be aware of, desire and pray for, is the favour of God!

The definition of the word favor is best described as "demonstrated delight." To have the Lord's favour means that, the Lord is in accord with an individual and has shown gracious kindness towards them. When we think of someone who has the favour of God, we think of someone in whose life we see tangible evidence of God's approval.

The Lord invites us to seek His favor, and the Bible is filled with people who cry out for God's favor and graciousness (2 Kings 13:4; Jeremiah 26:19; Zephaniah 2:3).

David says in Psalm 119:58, "I entreat your favor with all of my heart; be gracious to me according to your promise." It must be stated that, only those who are in Jesus Christ can experience the favour of God. It is by Jesus' righteousness that we receive forgiveness of sin and become children of God (John 1:12–13; 2 Corinthians 5: 16– 21; Hebrews 4: 14–16).

Once we are God's children, we can pursue God's favor by seeking Him for who He is, not for the things that He can provide for us. We can pursue God's favor by humbling our hearts before Him (2 Kings 22:19) and by desiring to show Him love with our whole selves (Mark 12:30; Luke 10:27).

There are a few things we can do to begin seeking the Lord's favor:

1. We must first seek righteousness, which prepares our hearts and creates room for the Lord (Matthew 6:33; Psalm 5:12).

2. We must humble our hearts before God. Isaiah 66: 2 (NIV) says, "… These are the ones I look on with favour: those who are humble and contrite in spirit, and who tremble at my word."

3. We can also gain God's favor by seeking wisdom. Proverbs 8:35 says that the one who finds wisdom, "finds life and obtains favour from the Lord."

4. We must also honor the Lord's favour above anybody else's favour, even our own. This means that we must desire to please Him more than we desire to please ourselves (Hebrews 11:25). The Lord is happy to favour those who love Him, so He can protect them, connect with them, and guide them (Psalm 37:23; Proverbs 3:5–6).

Dearly Beloved, everyday before you leave the house, pray for divine favour. As you go to work or go about your day, meditate on the love and favour of God. Be aware of this divine goodness and desire more of it. Practice the four steps mentioned above and expect doors to open for you in amazing ways that can only glorify God.

Remember, this divine provision of favour does not mean the absence of challenges. Rather, it means you have an added advantage through your every circumstance to do exploits, even with the odds against you.

Being blessed and highly favoured doesn't mean trials and temptations won't come, but you see, although we weep through the night, JOY COMES IN THE MORNING!

Begin to pray now. Pray for God's favour over all you are and do. Seek an outpour of this grace over your academics, career, job interview, and marriage. Also, tell God to turn your nights of weeping into the dawn of joy. The break of dawn will end the sleepless nights of pain and grief. That is what the Bible says.

RECEIVE FAVOUR TO DO "EXPLOITS" in Jesus name, and favour to turn your nights into day.
