TITLE: The remarkable events on the cross..
1. There was darkness in the whole land from the 6th hour to the 9th hour of which had never happened before.. (Matthew 27:45)
2. Jesus cried with a loud voice.. (Matthew 27:46)
3. Jesus called on the Lord.. (Matthew 27:47)
4. Miracles that had never been seen before happened.. (Matthew 27:51-53)

- Being hanged on the cross signifies that one is cursed.
- Did Jesus do something to be cursed on the cross?
- Always thank God for the grace of Jesus Christ.
- We deserved to go through all that Jesus went through.
- We’re blessed because of the death of Jesus Christ.
- Jesus Christ’s death on the cross gave us access to God.
- Don’t let what Jesus Christ went through be in vain.

Title: Preserving the Faith of Our Fathers.
Texts: 1Kings 21:1-3, Jeremiah 35:5-6, Jude 1:3, 2 Timothy 1:5, Psalm 78:1-7.

The faith we hold today is not a new invention; it is a sacred deposit passed down through; trials, tears, and triumphs.

PRESERVATION means to keep something for a longer period of time without spoilage.

I. Understanding the faith of our fathers;
• It is Personal: Faith must be owned by every generation, but it is often sparked by the observation of those who walked before us.
When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also. (2Tim 1:5)

• It is Costly: The "faith of our fathers" was often forged in the furnace of persecution. It was preserved by people who valued the Truth more than their comfort or their lives.
a. Stephen stoned to death- Acts 7:58-60
b. James was beheaded – Acts 12:2
c. Peter was imprisoned – Acts 12:4

• It is Truth-Centered: Preservation is not about keeping old traditions, but it is about holding fast to the unchanging Word of God in a shifting world.
