Tamale Archdiocese CYO CELEBRATES THE FEAST OF ST MARIA GORETTI.
On Sunday, July 12, 2026, parishes and units within the Northern and Central Deaneries of the Tamale Archdiocese converged at Sacred Heart Parish, Fuo, to commemorate the Feast of St. Maria Goretti.
The Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. David Kokaa, exhorted Crusaders to emulate the virtues of purity and forgiveness embodied by St. Maria Goretti. The host parish. Sacred Heart, was encouraged to revitalize the CYO movement, emphasizing its role in guiding and empowering youth to reach their full potential. The celebration culminated in a joyous atmosphere of fellowship and merriment.
Appreciation is extended to the Parish Priest, PPC, PLC, and PYC of Sacred Heart Parish for their warm hospitality. Gratitude is also expressed to all officers and Crusaders for contributing to the success of the event. St. Maria Goretti, pray for us.

The Tamale Archdiocese Catholic Youth Organisation (CYO) convened its 2026 Annual Management Council Meeting (AMCM) from June 26th to June 28th, 2026, at the Catholic Youth Centre in Tamale. This gathering was complemented by a leadership training aimed at empowering Parish and Unit officers to excel in their leadership roles.
A total of forty one (41) crusaders participated in comprehensive sessions focusing on key aspects of leadership, including development and mentorship, minutes and report writing, programming, financial reporting, conflict resolution, and CYO ceremonies, methods and techniques, drills and uniform.
During a breakout session, crusaders engaged in brainstorming exercises to share insights on enhancing various facets of the Organisation.
The AMCM and leadership training concluded with a Mass at Saints Peter and Paul Parish, TAMASCO, where crusaders were exhorted to apply the knowledge and skills acquired during the training.
