Reflections 4 Today
Hebrew 12:1-4/Mark 5:21-43
How deep is your faith? Can you keep your heart and eyes focused on Christ amid the challenges and difficulties around you? Do you know that any person who turns to Christ, finds mercy, compassion and healing? Our Lord always presents Himself to those who seek Him. In His own time, which is always the right time, He answers those who petition Him. Christ sprinkles miracles in our lives every day. He gives to us, freely and wholly of Himself, always providing for us when we most need His providence. All we need to do is to get close to Him with expectant faith; and like the “woman afflicted with haemorrhages for twelve years,” touch His cloak. Alternatively, when we get close to Him, we can, like Jairus the synagogue official “fall at His feet and pleaded earnestly with Him.” But, as we pray, we need to trust. That way, we would hear Christ say to us, “your faith has saved you.” Finally, we are entreated to “rid ourselves of every burden and sin that clings to us and persevere in running the race that lies before us.” That is the race to heaven, our final destination…
