Mpintsin Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints had it annual "All Africa Service Projects" across three key areas in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis. A large number of church members gathered to clean and restore the Essikado Hospital, Mpintsin Cemetery, Kojokrom Market and Lorry Park.
This initiative, which reflects the church's ongoing commitment to community service, saw volunteers equipped with tools and supplies, working tirelessly from the early hours of the morning. At the Essikado Hospital, the volunteers focused on improving sanitation by cleaning the hospital grounds, weeding, and clearing drains.
Simultaneously, another group of church members undertook the task of revitalizing the Mpintsin Cemetery. They cleared overgrown vegetation and removed debris, transforming the neglected cemetery into a more dignified resting place for the deceased.
The third group was stationed at the Kojokrom Market and Lorry Park, where they removed trash, unclogged drains, and thoroughly cleaned the area.
Speaking to Empire News, Philip Adams, the stake president of Mpinstin emphasized that the project aligns with the church’s teachings on service and the importance of giving back to the community. He encouraged other religious and civic groups to organize similar activities to help improve sanitation and living conditions in their neighborhoods.
