*Matthew 18:1*
At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?
*DISCIPLESHIP AND ARROGANCE*
It is a great joy and honour to associate with great men.
How would you feel if you have presidents and Queens and Kings as friends?
The joy of knowing and associating with them automatically generates some arrogance.
Remember That true humility is when you have power and still you chose to submit. The scripture above reveal the heart and the motives of the disciples. They walked with Jesus for sometime, been to great places, met great people - so obviously that has got into them and they have to fight for supremacy.
Who is the greatest? they asked.
We fall into this trap sometimes as disciples of Christ? Yes! because we know people in politics, business places and even men of God.
We sometimes fail to associate with the ordinary men. To be greatest you must be like a little child who associate with everyone. Who build friendship and respect others. so it is obvious that the greatest amongst us are those who are child-like .
What would you do if you have all the power in the world? Would you be like a child who will easily forgive and move on? Or you will wipe people off?
Great people are children, and children are great people.
*PRAYER:*
Father thank you for the opportunity to hear your word. I pray for a humble heart as a disciple, may I not misuse power, but may I embrace humility and demonstrate true Love, in Jesus name!Amen.
