Dormaa District Chief Imam speech:

I am honored to stand before you today, representing the Dormaa District Muslim community, to speak about the importance of spending in the cause of Allah to support the expanding and redesigning the Sunyani Central Mosque.

Before I begin, I must express my gratitude to Allah, who has brought us together for this blessed endeavor. Your presence here today is not by coincidence, but by Allah's divine plan.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "Whoever builds a house for Allah, Allah will build a house for him in Paradise." (Sahih Muslim)

Today, we gather to contribute to the construction of Allah's house, the Sunyani Central Mosque. This is not just a physical structure; it is a symbol of our faith, unity, and devotion to Allah.

The Quran warns us in Surah At-Tawbah, verse 54, about those who make excuses when called to support righteous causes. Let us not be among them.

Every contribution, no matter how small, is valued. The Prophet (peace be upon him) emphasized that even a small amount spent in the cause of Allah will be rewarded abundantly.

As Muslims, we must recognize that spending in the cause of Allah is not a burden, but an investment in our Akhirah (Hereafter). It is a transaction between us and our Lord, with the promise of immense rewards.

Let me share with you a remarkable story. There was once a Muslim governor who refused to support the construction of a mosque in his community. But one courageous man approached him, saying:

"Your Excellency, building Allah's house is a noble deed. Either you support it and earn eternal honor, or you resist and face eternal disgrace."

These words touched the governor's heart. He signed the approval, and the mosque was built.

Years later, the governor, now a pensioner, would sit with community elders in front of the mosque. He confessed:

"I owe my gratitude to that courageous man. His words changed my heart. If not for him, I wouldn't have supported this noble project."

I urge you all to open your hearts and wallets, to contribute generously to this noble cause. Your support will not only benefit the Muslim community but also earn you Allah's pleasure and blessings.

The Dormaa District Muslim community has contributed 10,000 Ghana Cedis to this project. We may not have met our target, but we are committed to supporting this cause.

Let us strive to be among those who will be proud to say, "I contributed to the expansion of the Sunyani Central Mosque." Let us not be among those who will ask, "What about me?" when the mosque is completed.

In conclusion, I leave you with the words of the Prophet (peace be upon him): "The mosque is the house of Allah, and whoever contributes to its construction will be rewarded."

May Allah touch our hearts, guide our actions, and bless our contributions.

The Deputy Chief Imam represented the Regional Chief Imam at the fund-raising event for the Sunyani Central Mosque expansion.

In his remarks, he emphasized:

Unity is key to our success. Without it, our efforts will be in vain.He praised the community's unprecedented unity, which has generated billions of cedis, surpassing expectations!We cannot achieve greatness without understanding and collective effort.

The Deputy Chief Imam reminded us:Working for Allah's cause is not optional as sometimes we mistakenly think, but compulsory because we are created for a purpose thus, to pleased Him.We were not created for nothing but to worship Him and we will be accountable for our actions.

He encouraged the community to:"Embrace unity, set goals, and strive together. With Allah's guidance, nothing is impossible.”

This momentous occasion brings back fond memories of our community's past successes, notably the formation of the Muslim Youth Organization. It was a remarkable initiative that brought together representatives from all Zongo tribes, fostering unity, understanding, and collective growth among our youth.

He expressed gratitude to all contributors, chiefs, and imams from other districts, praying for their safe return home.

May Allah multiply your rewards and bless our community.Let's continue to unite and support the Sunyani Central Mosque expansion!

We gather today to express our heartfelt appreciation to our respected leaders for their kindness and generosity towards the expansion and redesign of the Sunyani Central Mosque.

To Hon. Ameyaw Kyeremeh, NPP Parliamentary Candidate and Member of Parliament for Sunyani East Constituency, we thank you for your unwavering support. Your contribution has demonstrated your commitment to the well-being of our community.

We also extend our gratitude to Hon. Ansu Kumi, MCE, for your selfless donation. Your leadership and dedication to our community's growth are invaluable.

Hon. Seid Mubarak, NDC Parliamentary Candidate, your generosity has bridged gaps and fostered unity. Thank you for being a shining example of compassion and kindness.

We are thrilled to share the inspiring story of unity and generosity from our recent fund-raising appeal for the expansion of Sunyani Central Mosque!

At the event, the representative of the Council of Zongo Chiefs, Massa Alhassan Salia Wattara (Wangara Tribe Chief) emphasized the importance of:

UNITY: Working together towards a common goal
VISION: Focusing on the bigger picture
COLLABORATION: Supporting each other for collective success
SELFLESSNESS: Putting community interests above individual gains

Inspired by these words, ALL 21 CHIEFS PRESENT DONATED GHS 1,000 EACH, totaling GHS 21,000! (With less than GHS 5,000 remaining to reach the target)

What's remarkable? The Council of Zongo Chiefs, formerly Council of Muslim Chiefs, now includes non-Muslim chiefs who equally contributed to this noble cause!

Hajj Umar Suleiman was born in 1967 in wenchi and started his basic education there in the early 80s, then moved on around the world in the quest for knowledge in Arabic and Islam.
He continued his Basic Arabic and Qur'anic studies in kumasi

Then moved to Jordan for secondary education

Tertiary education in Jordan (Yarmuk university)

Did Islamic Law in sultanate of Oman

More studies in Islamic university Malaysia

Then decided to return home to use his acquired knowledge to benefit the Ummah and society in general

He is the founder of Istiqaama Muslim Organization

Established Aswaq Basic School in wenchi (proprietor)
