‎To the glory of the Triune God, the Brong Ahafo Presbytery is pleased to announce to members and the general public the successful election of Dr. Daniel Antwi as the next Presbytery Lay Representative to the General Assembly Council of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana. Dr. Antwi comes to this role as the youngest Lay Rep the Brong Ahafo Presbytery has ever produced.

‎He was elected on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at the ongoing commemorative 60th Session, being held at the Peniel Retreat Centre Ayakomaso. After pulling the highest votes during the nomination stage with 46 votes, he won massively in the second round of the election with 100 votes, representing 76.3% of the total valid votes cast.

Dr. Daniel K**i Antwi was born in Berekum in the Bono Region of Ghana. He began his early education at Freeman Methodist Preparatory School in Berekum, where he completed both his primary and Junior High School education. He later proceeded to Prempeh College for his Senior High School education before gaining admission to Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, where he obtained a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree.

‎Driven by a passion for professional excellence and academic advancement, Dr. Antwi furthered his studies at the University of Cincinnati, earning a Master’s degree in Pharmacology. He subsequently returned to KNUST to pursue and obtain his Doctor of Pharmacy degree.

‎Beyond his academic and professional accomplishments, Dr. Daniel K**i Antwi has distinguished himself through dedicated service to the Church and Christian youth ministry. At the age of 27, he became the youngest Presbyter at the Presbyterian Church of Ghana Calvary Congregation, Columbus, Ohio, in the North America / Australia Presbytery.

‎He also served diligently as the former Youth Superintendent and later Youth Coordinator of the North America / Australia Presbytery. Currently, he serves as the Presbytery President of the Young Adult Fellowship of the Brong Ahafo of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana.

‎Professionally, Dr. Antwi is a Senior Pharmacist at Yamfo Polyclinic, where he continues to contribute significantly to healthcare delivery. On the home front, he is a devoted family man, happily married and celebrating 13 years of marriage this year. Together with his wife, they are blessed with three daughters.

|| 60TH PRESBYTERY SESSION & HISTORIC ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION ||

‎On behalf of the Brong Ahafo Presbytery Session Council, under the chairmanship of Rev. Benjamin Appiah, we are delighted to inform you of the upcoming 60th Presbytery Session, scheduled to take place from 6th to 10th May 2026 at the Peniel Retreat Centre, Ayakomaso.

‎This year’s Session is particularly significant, as it marks the 60th Anniversary Celebration of our cherished “Best Achievers” Presbytery. Beyond its commemorative importance, the Session will undertake two critical decisions: the election of a new Presbytery Chairperson, and a new Presbytery Lay Representative to the General Assembly Council.

‎As a Church, we are called to spiritual discernment and dependence on God. We therefore humbly invite all members, groups, and Congregations to dedicate intentional and fervent time in prayer, seeking God’s guidance and wisdom for the decisions and activities of this historic Session.

‎May the Lord direct His Church according to His perfect will.

‎Soli Deo Gloria!

With great joy and honour, Sunyani East District proudly hosted the Moderator of the General Assembly, Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye, during his pastoral visit. It was indeed a privilege for Sunyani East to serve as host for such a significant occasion.

The programme was gracefully led with the support of the Brong Ahafo Presbytery Chairperson, Rev. Benjamin Appiah, assisted by the Presbytery Clerk, Rev. Bright Ofosu Asiedu, whose leadership contributed to the success of the event.

In beautiful unity, Sunyani District, Odomase District, and Chiraa District joined together, demonstrating the strength and oneness of the presbytery.

The visit was deeply engaging and insightful, as the Moderator shared the rich history and journey of the Church, reminding all of its strong foundation and mission. The congregation actively participated through thoughtful questions, creating an atmosphere of learning and interaction. The memorable moments were crowned with joyful picture-taking, capturing the unity and spirit of the day.

At the Resurrection Congregation in New Dormaa, hearts were uplifted, faith was renewed, and the Church was strengthened. It was more than an event, it was a divine encounter that will remain in our hearts for a long time.

Sunyani East hosted, the Districts united, and God moved mightily among His people. 🙏🏽✨
