The Church of Pentecost. Sogakope Area empowers 61 members with working tools

The Sogakope Area of the Church of Pentecost (COP) has presented working tools and financial support to 61 members to promote self-reliance and improve their livelihoods.

The beneficiaries received sewing machines, hair dryers, tool boxes, make-up kits, a pumping machine, weedicides and other work equipment, while some also received cash support for education and apprenticeship training.

Speaking at the half-year Area Presbytery Meeting held at the Sogakope Central Church Auditorium, Apostle Edward Brains Agidi-Quarshie, Area Head of the Church, said the initiative formed part of the Church's commitment to addressing the socio-economic needs of members through practical empowerment.

He noted that he and his wife, Mrs Cynthia Fosuaa Agidi-Quarshie, together with pastors and their wives in the Area, donated 13 sewing machines, while additional items were mobilised from the various districts.

Pastor Reindorf Abiah, Area Pentecost Social Services (PENTSOS) Coordinator, urged the beneficiaries to remain diligent and professional in their respective trades to earn sustainable incomes and bring glory to God.

The beneficiaries thanked the Church for the timely intervention and pledged to make good use of the items.

THE CHURCH OF PENTECOST continues to complement government efforts in national development through PENTSOS, with interventions in education, healthcare, water and sanitation, skills development, environmental sustainability and economic empowerment.

The Church of Pentecost, Sogakope Area, Ordains Three District Overseers into the Pastoral Ministry 🎉👏💕

The Church of Pentecost, Sogakope Area, rejoices in the successful ordination of three dedicated District Overseers into the pastoral ministry. The solemn ceremony, held at Sogakope Central Auditorium , marked a significant milestone in the spiritual growth and leadership development of the Area.

The District Overseers ordained into the pastorate are:
Ps. Ebenezer Nsiah Marfo – Atiavi District
Ps. Romeo Kpormegbey – Akyemfo District
Ps. Peter Kumako – Larve District

The service was presided over by the Area Head, Apostle Edward Brains Agidi-Quarshie, with Mrs. Cynthia Agidi-Quarshie in attendance. Also present were Pastors and their spouses serving across the Area, members of the Area Executive Council, Elders, Deaconesses, and a large gathering of the church membership who came to witness and celebrate this momentous occasion.

In his exhortation, Apostle Agidi-Quarshie charged the newly ordained Pastors to remain faithful stewards of God’s flock, to lead with humility, and to pursue excellence in ministry through prayer, the Word, and service. He reminded the congregation that ordination is both a privilege and a responsibility, calling for continued prayer and support for the ministers.

The newly ordained Pastors expressed gratitude to God, the Area leadership, and the entire church for the opportunity to serve at a higher level. The atmosphere was charged with thanksgiving, worship, and encouragement as the church celebrated God’s faithfulness.

We congratulate Ps. Ebenezer Nsiah Marfo, Ps. Romeo Kpormegbey, and Ps. Peter Kumako, and pray that the Lord will anoint and empower them for fruitful ministry in the vineyard of the Lord. 🙏💫
