🕊️ PILGRIMAGE TO THE HOLY SPIRIT CATHEDRAL, ADABRAKA 🕊️

The Knights of St. John International, Accra East Grand Commandery and Ladies’ Auxiliary - 1st Regiment of the 14th District Commandery and District 3 Ladies’ Auxiliary, warmly invite all members to a spiritual pilgrimage to the Holy Spirit Cathedral, Adabraka, on Saturday, 1st November 2025.

This sacred journey offers an opportunity for reflection, renewal, and unity in faith as we gather in God’s presence.

INAUGURATION OF THE KSJI CADET COMMANDERY FOR ST. MARK COMMANDERY #834

On Saturday, August 23, 2025, a new chapter in the life of the Knights of St. John International was written with the official inauguration of the Cadet Commandery of St. Mark Commandery #834. The solemn yet joyful ceremony took place in the warm embrace of the Church Basement, drawing together officers from the Grand Commandery, the 1st Regiment, and the 1st and 2nd Battalions of the 14th District. Their presence brought honor, encouragement, and a spirit of unity to this historic event.

The highpoint of the day was the installation, promulgation, and initiation of officers, which was gracefully conducted by the Grand Cadet Organizer. In his charge to the newly inaugurated cadets, he spoke with fatherly affection and divine inspiration, urging them to live as shining examples of faith, discipline, and service. He reminded them that as young soldiers of Christ, they are called to be respectful and obedient to their parents, loyal to their Church, and steadfast in their commitment to the noble ideals of the Order.

With words that touched both heart and soul, he exhorted the cadets to embrace the path of humility, charity, and responsibility, affirming that their youthful strength and zeal are precious gifts to be offered in service to God and His Church. His admonition echoed the timeless truth that greatness in the Order is measured not by position, but by faithful service and obedience to Christ, the true Captain and Defender.

The ceremony, though brief, was filled with profound meaning and a palpable sense of the Holy Spirit’s presence. As the cadets took their solemn steps of dedication, the entire gathering was inspired by their courage and commitment. It was a moment of renewal not only for the young ones, but also for the older Knights, who saw in them the bright hope of the Order’s future.

The inauguration of the St. Mark Cadet Commandery #834 is thus more than an event, it is a living testimony of God’s faithfulness, a seed planted in the fertile ground of youthful hearts, destined to grow and bear much fruit for the Church and for humanity.

A Historic Day for the Knights of St. John International: The Inauguration of the Military Wings of St. Monica Commandery No. 1003 and St. Barnabas Commandery No. 1004

On Saturday, a new chapter was written in the history of the Knights of St. John International (KSJI) within the Accra East Grand, as the 1st Regiment of the 14th District witnessed the solemn inauguration of the Military Wings of St. Monica Commandery No. 1003 and St. Barnabas Commandery No. 1004.

The occasion was marked with reverence, dignity, and deep symbolism as the regimental traditions of the Order merged with the spiritual calling of service to God and humanity. Officers and brothers gathered in joy and anticipation, their hearts lifted by the sight of the disciplined march and the spirit of unity among the Knights.

At the heart of the event was the installation of the two new Commanders, men called not only to lead but to embody humility, faith, and courage in their service. With prayers, blessings, and the laying on of hands, they were formally entrusted with the sacred duty of guiding their Commanderies in faith, charity, and fraternal commitment. The moment was both solemn and uplifting an affirmation that leadership within the Knights is not about power, but about sacrifice and service.

The inauguration brought renewed strength to the Church community. It was a testimony to the growing presence of the Knights of St. John International in the Accra East Grand, and a reminder that the mission of the Order to defend the faith and serve with loyalty remains as relevant today as it has ever been.

As the regimental banners were raised and the faithful sang songs of thanksgiving, there was a palpable sense of hope for the future. The newly installed commanders, alongside their members, were charged with a noble mandate: to uphold the values of the Order and to be shining examples of devotion to the Church, the community, and the ideals of Christian knighthood.

The day will be remembered not only as a ceremonial milestone but as a spiritual rebirth for the Commanderies of St. Monica and St. Barnabas. With faith as their armor and service as their mission, the Military Wings now stand ready to journey together under the guidance of their new leaders, for the greater glory of God and the good of His people.
