“Prepare your jars…”
Sometimes, the miracle doesn’t come right away—not because God is not moving, but because He is preparing you. The real question is: are you ready?
In the story of the never-ending oil, God didn’t just fill a house—He filled what was prepared. Every jar represented faith, obedience, and trust. The more jars that were made ready, the more oil was poured out.
That’s how it is in our lives. There are seasons when everything feels lacking—low on resources, strength, even hope. But the truth is, God never runs out. The only question is: do you have room for His blessing?
Prepare yourself:
– Prepare a heart that trusts even when the answer isn’t visible.
– Prepare a mind that believes even when circumstances say otherwise.
– Prepare a life that is open to His will.
Because the day will come when what little you have, He will multiply. What feels insufficient will become enough—and what is enough will overflow.
God doesn’t fill closed hands. He fills those who are open and ready to receive.
So even now—prepare your jars.
Keep your faith alive.
Don’t stop hoping.
Remain faithful.
For in the right time,
there will be oil in your house—
a blessing that cannot be exhausted,
and a provision that comes from God alone. ✨

Ruth was from Moab, a town known to be an enemy of the Israelites. The name Ruth signifies friendship. She was likely in a state that would have shut others down after experiencing the tragic loss of her husband. From Ruth to Naomi reveals a sacrifice born of pain through the power of friendship. The Holy Spirit reveals the 5 powerful values in her sacrifice to Naomi, which include:
1. : the courage to link up again,
2. : the willingness to look forward again,
3. : the desire to learn again,
4. : the commitment to love again, and
5. : the strength to live again. These values defined her life after the trauma and transformed her into a friend and a trailblazer for God's children. She became the first woman and one of only two to have a book recorded in the Bible. She started a genealogy that would birth the mighty King David, out of whom emerged the Saviour of the world, Jesus Christ. Sometimes, it is not what you lose, but the fortitude to recover based on strong values and conviction that determines how high you rise to make a powerful difference. Life does not end with losses; hope does not end with death. It ends with giving up.

This chapter talks about the institution of Passover. It reveals the shadow of the ultimate sacrifice needed for the redemption of mankind. The directive from YaHWeH prescribes the nature and type of sacrifice that is demanded. In Biblical numerology, 10 signifies a divine order of complete perfection and sufficiency. Thus, beyond the establishment of the Passover meal, is the revelation that sacrifices are means to achieve sufficiency and divine completion. It is interesting to note that the Lord was not dealing exclusively with individuals but with "all the congregation" of Israel with respect to the "house of their fathers". The Holy Spirit wants you to know that everyone is influenced and impacted by the sacrifices made on behalf of the family. Sacrifices, therefore, go beyond the initiator to affect families and children - both great and small, born and unborn. One person's sacrifice has the potential to change an entire household. Thus, a godly sacrifice is a household guarantee, while an evil sacrifice results in household afflictions. When Jesus becomes your ultimate sacrifice, redemption and deliverance come to your family.

It is quite evident from the passage that the Lord knows how dear Abraham's son was to him. The specifics of the demand were clear to Abraham. The direction was also made known, but the destination was not mentioned. God demands your sacrifice in the spirit of obedience. Sometimes, He makes it known to you by His Spirit what you need to sacrifice for Him. God is interested in what you love. Your ability and willingness to sacrifice your Isaac determines the direction He will lead you. In the master plan of eternity, He hides the destination because He wants to earn your absolute trust and confidence. You may not understand the demands of the Spirit in your life. With God, what looks like a loss will cause your lot to be maintained and your cup to overflow. You may not be prepared for what the Lord requires of you. But when you offer your best to Him, He will give His best to you.

The Holy Spirit wants you to know that thanksgiving is recognised as a sacrifice. It is known in the Old Testament language as 'tôdâh' lan. It describes the acts of adoration, praise and offerings. What qualifies todah as a sacrifice are the essential elements of brokenness and crushing found in it. This reveals an attitude of gratitude in bad times. God desires our appreciation, even when things go wrong, and we are faced with daunting realities. It is praise in pain and worship in worry that touches the heart of God and moves His hand. Your present situation is not meant to be the time of complaints and laments. It is a supernatural season of offering sacrifices of gratitude and appreciation to the One who made the greatest sacrifice for you. We do not thank God enough for all He does in our lives. Appreciating Him in troubling times helps us to stay focused and keep our minds in perfect peace.

This scripture gives us a classic description of what is determined as a sacrifice. It is the standard that every sacrifice is measured against. The term sacrifice in the Old Testament language describes the act of slaughtering, killing or slaying and offering it. Thus, sacrifices are not offerings done in convenience and with comfort. The essential elements of sacrifices include;
1. pain
2. crushing
3. brokenness
4. a form of death
Thus, sacrifices before the LORD are not necessarily about what has been offered before his presence. Instead, it has to do with the heart and spirit of the One who offers. God is not interested in your offerings; His delight is in your broken posture before him. It is your brokenness and death to old ways and habits that make your gifts acceptable before him with a sweet fragrance.

The voice, as mentioned in the New Testament language, is known as 'phōnē'. It describes a sound and speech. This is an open endorsement of the sacrifice of God to us. In the beginning of the book of the Bible, God called out people by their names. This scripture is amongst the few references where God openly called out His Son in the presence of witnesses. The holy Spirit wants you to know through this divine proclamation that the sacrifice of god to you is a means of reconciliation, restoration and relationship into sonship. You have not fully lived as a Christian until you earn God's approval by accepting His gift of salvation in the presence of witnesses. This is Jesus, the pleasant flower in the garden of our Father.

The Holy Spirit wants you to appreciate the great Love of God for you, in a world filled with selfishness, greed and hatred. To spare in the New Testament means to deal leniently and abstain. This was, however, not the case with Jesus Christ. He was offered without any reservation or hesitation to meet the demands of justice, sin and evil. It reveals the dimension of reckless love that God has for us, where He does not withhold any good thing from us. The enemy would have us believe, especially in the midst of crisis, that God has been unfair and unkind to us. But rightly presented to you is an eternal gift package of salvation that is beyond anything else anyone has to offer you. Do not let your love for the LORD be rooted in a need-based relationship.
