Feed My Sheep
Do you love the LORD? If so, feed His sheep with the word of GOD. This appears to be a simple instruction, but many abandon their responsibility. Notice here that we are commanded to feed His sheep to show that we love Him. If we ignore the great commission, it is direct disobedience to His authority, and there are consequences for disobedience. This is a direct way to prove our love to GOD. As simple as this sounds, many have neglected this instruction. What will be their excuse on judgment day? Many distractions are competing for our attention. Wherever we find ourselves, we must be able to plant seeds of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Soul winning is one of the most honorable jobs you can ever do as a Christian because it's a privilege to show your love to the Creator of the entire existence (GOD ALMIGHTY). We are His sheep and He is the Shepherd. Within the sheep, he has also made shepherds to feed His sheep. Please don't take this privilege for granted. He is asking us to attend to His sheep and feed them with the message of GOD that will eventually lead to their salvation.
[15] So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs. [16] He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep. [17] He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
