*📖GOD’S DEALINGS WITH MEN*
(Reading: 2 Samuel 22:25-41)

🗓MONDAY, June 5TH
👤By Mr. Stephen Klogo

_📜”To the faithful you show yourself faithful, to the blameless you show yourself blameless ... to the crooked you show yourself shrewd” *2 Samuel 22:26-27 (NIV).*_

📋Direct and inverse proportionality are usually used in mathematical classes. Although many people are not comfortable with mathematics it would be necessary to draw a few lessons from it today for life. Basically, directly proportionate figures multiply while inversely proportionate figures divide. God responds to humans in exactly the same way. If you are faithful, God will show Himself faithful to you. Your faithfulness brings tremendous result. In much the same way, if your ways are crooked they will divide your own efforts and the outcome will be horrible. It is interesting to know that, God does not look at the size or beauty of what you are doing to determine your faithfulness, blamelessness and purity. He looks at your heart. He also does not look at how uneducated or poor your background is to determine your crookedness. He looks at your heart. Pretense does not escape Gods attention, although it may with people. Whatever you do, do it right and from your heart. Man looks at the outward, but God looks at the heart. God’s response to you is directly proportional to your faithfulness to Him. The body may go one direction; the heart may go the other direction in the things we do. People may look at the body’s direction but God looks at the heart’s direction. Avoid hypocrisy.

*_🛐Meditation and Prayer:_* Teach me Lord to be pure and true. Deliver me from the grips of hypocrisy.

*_📚Further Reading:_*
Matthew 7:15-23, 25:14-34

*_🔑Key Lesson:_* God is to us, what we are to Him.

*📖THE DEPENDABILITY OF GOD*
(Reading: Psalm 20:1-9)

🗓THURSDAY, May 18th
👤By Rev. Dr. W. S. K. Gbewonyo

_📜”Now I know that the Lord saves his anointed...with the saving power of his right hand. Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. They are brought to their knees and fall, but we rise up and stand firm’’ *Psalm 20:6-8 (NIV)*_

📋This Psalm was a prayer for the king of Israel just before going to battle. The ultimate military weapons then were the chariot and the horse. Armies that could field a cavalry or chariot brigade were considered virtually invincible. However, God’s law forbade the king of Israel to multiply horses (Deuteronomy 17:16). Rather Israel was to trust in God’s everlasting arms, for He fights for his people; hence David affirms, “...but we trust in the name of the Lord our God” (v.7). When God makes a promise he keeps it. He is dependable. In today’s insecure world nations and people are seeking security in more sophisticated weapons, young people, in better qualifications and others in retirement funds. Though one of today’s most sought after commodities, security is elusive. Throughout history empires and kingdoms have risen to great power only to vanish in the dust. David however knew that the true might of his nation was not in weaponry or firepower but in God’s power. Because God alone can preserve a nation or an individual, your confidence must be in God. Because of God’s perfect dependability, you can trust that he will bless your efforts. Who do you trust?

*_🛐Meditation and Prayer:_* Lord, help me to completely trust you to keep your promise and bless my efforts.

*_📚Further Reading:_*
Psalm 33:16-20;
Proverbs 21:31

*_🔑Key Lesson:_* God can preserve you if you trust him completely.

*📖GOD COMFORTS US*
(Reading: 2 Corinthians 1:3-11)

🗓TUESDAY, May 16th
👤By Rev. Deladem Dogbatse

_📜”The God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation.” *2 Corinthians 1: 3 (MEV)*_

📋God can make you comfortable in the most uncomfortable places and situations. He can pull you out of situations you thought you would be stuck in forever. He can give you peace, even in the midst of trauma. In this life you will experience love as well loss. Losing some things will actually help you to appreciate the things you still love. It is the taste of failure that makes success sweet. How can you celebrate victory unless you have known defeat? Your success or failure is not in the hands of your boss, your mate or anybody else. Neither are they in your own hands to manipulate or control. All your tomorrows are in God’s hand! So whatever you do; get to know Him, because you will need Him and He will be there for you. He will be there when everybody and everything else has gone. He will be there for you in the dark places. His promise to you is, "...weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning” (Psalm30:5). However long the night time, morning always comes and with it, joy. Just think, no matter how dark the night, you have always lived to see the morning. Times and seasons change, but not God. He is always “ ...The God of all comfort ” and He is watching over you today!

*_🛐Meditation and Prayer:_* God Almighty let your grace protect me, provide for me, secure me and comfort me.

*_📚Further Reading:_*
Psalm 121;
Proverbs 12:23-24

*_🔑Key Lesson:_* God is always there for you even when everybody and everything else has gone.

*📖UNDERSTANDING PRAYER: THANKSGIVING*
(Reading: Ephesians 5:14-27)

🗓MONDAY, May 15th
👤By Mr. Samora Machel Ayivor

_📜”Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ” *Ephesians 5:20 (KJV)*_

📋In our local settings, some people get offended when they help someone out with something but the person never returns to say thank you to them. God who created man also demands that we give Him thanks for everything He has done for us? It is important that we give God thanks. What is thanksgiving prayer? It is a prayer made onto God to acknowledge and appreciate Him for what He has done, is doing and will be doing for an individual or a group of people. In this type of prayer, there is no asking of God for anything. It can be deduced from our opening verse that, thanksgiving is not a one-time thing that should be done. Neither should it be done occasionally but always. The reason being that, God is always working out things for us both in the physical and spiritual realm. Another truth to notice from the opening verse is that, we must give thanks to God for “ all things.” It means that, in every situation and for every circumstance of life, we need to thank Him. As long as we are alive, we have a reason to thank God. It is said that “If you are thankful, your tank would be full ”

*_🛐Meditation and Prayer:_* Father I thank you for your goodness and protection over my life and the life of my family members.

*_📚Further Reading:_*
Colossians 3:15-17;
1 Thessalonians 5:18;
Ephesians 1:15-17

*_🔑Key Lesson:_* It is good to give God thanks at all times.
