CHURCH OF CHRIST, USTED DONATES MEDICAL ITEMS TO UNIVERSITY CLINIC
The Church of Christ, USTED Kumasi, has donated medical and hygiene items to the USTED University Clinic as part of its welfare outreach programme.
The donation was made on Sunday, 19 July 2026, by members of the Church through its Benevolence, Welfare and Visitation Ministry.
Items presented included soap, tissue rolls, gloves, nose masks, T-shirts and other essential supplies needed at the clinic.
Speaking during the presentation, church representatives said the gesture formed part of the Church’s ongoing benevolence activities aimed at supporting the University community. They noted that the Church believes in extending help to all people, not only members of the congregation.
“The Bible encourages Christians to lend a helping hand to everyone,” the representatives stated.
The Administrator of the University Clinic received the items on behalf of the University. She expressed appreciation to the Church for the donation and said the items would support both patients and staff at the clinic.
Brother Donyina Michael, speaking on behalf of the Church, said the congregation would continue to support the University whenever it had the capacity to do so.
“This is the second time the Church has donated to the University. Our first donation was directional signages for students, which we believe will be mounted soon. Today’s donation to the clinic is another step in our commitment to the welfare of the University community,” he said.
He added that the Church would continue to expand its support, noting that such acts of kindness also benefit its members who are part of the University community.
The Church also used the occasion to invite the clinic staff to its Handover Ceremony, scheduled for 26 July 2026 at the New Auditorium.
