*BELIEF OR UNBELIEF?*
*Scripture Reading:* Hebrews 2:1-4; 3:7-19
_*Exposition*_
The totality of the Christian faith is our belief in the saving act of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. Where we put our faith is very important. No human is without belief in something; it is either you believe it is or you believe it is not. Eternal life, which is our hope of an end to sin and the destruction it has caused to the world based on belief. This belief is in our Lord Jesus Christ as our only hope of salvation. Like the Israelites, we are pilgrims here on earth, and while we journey a lot of things come to test our faith in Jesus ability to save. Our own desire is one of them but we must be sure that no matter the circumstances, we stand firm holding on to our faith. The Bible tells us that we are kept and preserved by the Holy Spirit who is our seal and assurance to our inheritance in Christ Jesus. By Him, we have the power not to be swayed by any teaching contrary to that which we have head from the beginning that Jesus Christ is Lord. The Holy Spirit works in us to will and to do of God's good pleasure. From our scriptures, the people of Israel did not receive God's promise due to unbelief. They heard His words and saw His deeds but they did not mix it with faith, hence, they did not receive God's rest. Let is believe in Christ so that we can possess God's promise of rest...........................................................
