Central Baptist Church is a church under the Ghana Baptist Convention with the aim of reaching out with the Gospel of Christ to its environs and impacting them positively. Central Baptist church located on plot 18 and 19 block 13, in the Manhyia Extension area of Kumasi is currently a member of the Golden Gate Baptist Association, and the Ghana Baptist C0vneiton. For instance in 1979 the posts of

Convention president, Association General secretary and recording secretary, the acting field evangelist, vice president, and assistant secretary of the Association, were held by its members with a host of them serving in various other committees. This church championed the formation of the the Laymen’s Baptist Association of the Ghana Baptist Convention which in 1979. The late Deacon Lawrence Sarpong Mensah became the first chairman of this Association and later became the President of the Ghana Baptist Convention.
